**ABOUT THE HOSPITAL**:
This tertiary care referral hospital is committed to serving the healthcare needs of the Eastern Province and the Gulf population delivering the following Core Competencies: Oncology, Multi-Organ Transplant, Neurosciences and Cardiology. The hospital also offers subspecialty services in Haematology, Rehabilitation, Nuclear Medicine, Radiotherapy, Urology and many more.

This hospital serves around 300,000 outpatients and 10,000 inpatients each year by highly trained and qualified medical and clinical staff from different nationalities. For over a decade, KFSH-D has been committed to continuous improvements and advancements on all levels: medical, clinical, technological, administrative, and research. This is clearly reflected in the number of certifications, awards, and accreditations that the hospital has obtained and has been maintaining every year since 2010.

**QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED**:

- 3 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
- 3 years post specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
UK - CCT
USA - American Board
Canada - Canadian Fellowship
Ireland - CSD/CSCST
Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)
France - DES/DESC
Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.

Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated professional capable of working effectively in a cross-functional team environment. The successful candidate will assume a full-time employment as a Field Manager, Gilead Oncology in the KSA Medical Affairs department and report to the Oncology Middle East Therapy Area Lead.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure the safe and appropriate use of Gilead medicines
• Improve the standard of clinical care for patients living with breast cancer
  
  

Specific Responsibilities

• Allocates approximately 70-75% of time in the field, engaging in scientific exchange with healthcare professional and thought leaders, while proactively gathering actionable medical insights to guide strategic planning and support evidence-based decision making
• Responds to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental Gilead products.
• Presents scientific and clinical data for these products.
• Identifies and develops national opinion leaders to support Gilead products and trains Gilead approved speakers through personal contacts and on-site visits.
• Is a company representative to groups of experts, medical professional groups, scientific societies, patient representatives, and represents the company at national and international scientific meetings.
• Assists with sales force training at national levels.
• Anticipates obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner.
• Conduct medical education and communication activities, including digital, face-to-face and print.
• Serve as internal scientific expert in the therapy area, healthcare landscape, and data on Gilead and competitor medicines and as the medical affairs representative in the Saudi cross-functional therapeutic team
• Execute the Gilead Oncology Medical Affairs tactics for Saudi Arabia, in close collaboration with relevant members of the X-functional team supporting the Oncology franchise
• Manage projects to completion, anticipate obstacles and difficulties that may arise, resolving them in a collaborative manner.

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree preferred
• Functional experience in field medical affairs preferred

• Excellent written, verbal, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills required
• Ability to understand complex issues, identify key insights, and communicate salient points to different audiences required

In this role you will support Bupa to ensure medical spend (In-Patient & Out-Patient services) is controlled by ensuring that pre-authorization decisions are within defined SAMA & CCHI regulations, accepted guidelines and high quality medical standards, safeguarding the member's health & safety and aligned to BUPA Values.
You will be responsible for the following:

- Medial cost & Service Management: Adjudicate the cases (In-Patient & Out-Patient) based on common medical practice and in line with Bupa protocols and policy. Ensure the decisions are according to the best medical standards and agreement terms & conditions in order to prevent abuse, fraud and overtreatment.
- High quality medical decision & patient safety: Ensure working with high quality of decision making with Zero QDI (Quality Demerit Index) A or B. Ensure the medical decisions are consistent and are implemented based on clinical and practice guidelines signed off by the organization. Ensure high customer satisfaction in line with BUPA values and business strategy.
- Efficiency management: Ensure achieving the daily targets in terms of productivity & speed of response.
- Ensure proper interpretation and usage of clinical skills.
- Compliance to policy and Regulation: Report all high value claims as per agreed process.
- Highlight and report fraud, abuse, and anti-selection.

**Skills**:

- Ability to conduct business in English language.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills.
- Clinical experience in general practitioner or Emergency or Family Medicine.

**Education**:
MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery) with some expertise of Insurance is preferred.
