  • Lead and manage large-scale healthcare consulting projects, including health system transformation, strategy development, digital health, operational improvement, and regulatory alignment
  • Advise clients on key healthcare challenges including clinical governance, health financing, service delivery models, and value-based care
  • Support government health entities ((Ministry of Health ) MOH , Vision Realization Offices, Hold Co., etc.) and private healthcare providers in developing and executing national transformation programs
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables

  • Mentor junior consultants and help build internal healthcare capability

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • 7–10 years of relevant experience at a Big 4 consulting firm . with a focus on healthcare
  • Strong background in strategy consulting, health policy, public health, or healthcare operations
  • Demonstrated experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC healthcare landscape is highly preferred
  • Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and deliver impact under complex regulatory and cultural environments
  • Extensive experience with Strategy development, performance improvement, business modelling, change management etc.

Preferred skills: Deep understanding of Vision 2030, National Transformation Program, and Health Sector Transformation Strategy. Knowledge of healthcare financing, reimbursement models, and PPP frameworks. Experience in digital health, HIS implementation, or hospital commissioning is a strong asset. Bilingual (English and Arabic) is highly desirable.

  • Plan the Products/Portfolio Medical affairs strategy to effectively support in the development of existing and new business opportunities in full alignment with Company processes and guidelines.

To achieve success, it is critical that the Medical Manager:

  • Understand the local therapy area’s patient journey of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in detail to be able to clearly identify the unmet needs and design the strategic directions accordingly in alignment with the global directions.
  • Lead the pre-launch preparation and establish the new dynamics of therapy area with the concerned specialties.
  • Work in collaboration with the leading experts to update, improve and personalize the current treatment paradigm of the therapy area to match with the available treatment options.
  • Translate agreed strategies into clear, tangible, and actionable plans and initiatives as per the patient journey’s needs from diagnosis to treatment and ongoing care.
  • Define and balance strategic priorities against immediate operational challenges.
  • Empower teams to face challenges, make decisions, and act.
  • Review and evaluate progress against agreed targets, timelines, and budgets.

KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and executing the medical affairs strategic plan on products/portfolio/therapeutic areas in full alignment with the business strategy and with the company processes and guidelines.
  • In collaboration with the Field-based Medical team, establish strong connections with key opinion leaders and healthcare organizations and ensure that significant developments in the field are identified and monitored.
  • Organize and lead the preparation of local advisory boards and expert meetings.
  • Participate in the Medical Affairs SOP development and ensure all SOPs are updated effectively and affiliate procedures are in line with the global requirements.

  • Abide by the requirements of the internal Code of Ethics including but not limited to maintaining high professional standards of conduct in line with the Company procedure with a duty of care to the reputation of the Company.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Allocates approximately 70-75% of time in the field, engaging in scientific exchange with healthcare professional and thought leaders, while proactively gathering actionable medical insights to guide strategic planning and support evidence-based decision making
    • Responds to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental Gilead products.
    • Presents scientific and clinical data for these products.
    • Identifies and develops national opinion leaders to support Gilead products and trains Gilead approved speakers through personal contacts and on-site visits.
    • Is a company representative to groups of experts, medical professional groups, scientific societies, patient representatives, and represents the company at national and international scientific meetings.
    • Assists with sales force training at national levels.
    • Anticipates obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner.
    • Conduct medical education and communication activities, including digital, face-to-face and print.
    • Serve as internal scientific expert in the therapy area, healthcare landscape, and data on Gilead and competitor medicines and as the medical affairs representative in the Saudi cross-functional therapeutic team
    • Execute the Gilead Oncology Medical Affairs tactics for Saudi Arabia, in close collaboration with relevant members of the X-functional team supporting the Oncology franchise
    • Manage projects to completion, anticipate obstacles and difficulties that may arise, resolving them in a collaborative manner.

    Knowledge, Experience, Competencies And Skills

    • Demonstrated scientific knowledge management in oncology
    • Advanced scientific or clinical degree preferred
    • Functional experience in field medical affairs preferred
    • Extended experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry preferred
    • Demonstrated relational intelligence by generating value through impactful interactions
    • Excellent written, verbal, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills required
    • Ability to understand complex issues, identify key insights, and communicate salient points to different audiences required
