Job Description
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks as per SOPs to ensure continuous operation of solid dosage production equipment, including tablet presses, coating machines, and blending systems.
- Prepare and repair various equipment and devices to ensure optimal functionality.
- Report malfunctions and submit detailed technical reports to the responsible engineer.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in production machinery and utilities, employing root cause analysis techniques.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Oversee and maintain utility systems such as HVAC, steam boilers, air compressors, and purified water systems, ensuring they meet GMP and safety standards.
- Participate in system upgrades, installations, and maintenance of clean utilities like compressed air, nitrogen distribution, and clean steam.
- Interpret and apply mechanical and hydraulic schematics, pneumatic diagrams, and technical manuals to guide maintenance activities.
- Implement reliability improvement strategies for equipment and utilities.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities in accordance with GMP regulations and create reports for engineering and quality assurance teams.
- Ensure compliance with EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards in all maintenance operations.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, quality assurance, and operations staff, to enhance productivity and minimize downtime.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within pharmaceutical companies, especially in the field of solid tablet production.
- Ability to identify and resolve mechanical issues related to production machines and utilities.
- Proficiency in handling various manual and electrical tools.
- Strong understanding and interpretation of mechanical engineering drawings (Pneumatics & Hydraulics, Etc.).
- Adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) requirements.
- Implementation of safety instructions and procedures.
- Knowledge of assembling and maintaining different production machine kits.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with engineering and production teams.
- Physical stamina to handle assigned tasks and work under pressure.
- Saudi Arabia residents (Preferable), of all nationalities are welcome to apply.
- Fluent in English / Arabic Language is an asset.
