The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and assess training supporting the progression of trainees into specialist roles within the industry. Certified Composites Technician (CCT) – American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA).
PCN Level II, or III (BINDT) / ASNT Level II, or III
- Excellent communication skills and motivation to engage and inspire trainees (A CEFR B1 ability in English is required).
- Enhanced security clearance will be required.
- Understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience in one or more of the following : Failure analysis and metallographic techniques / Advanced NDT techniques (PAUT, TOFD, Computed Tomography) / Process validation for industrial additive manufacturing / DFA / DFM and process efficiency improvements.

Bechtel has managed the Jubail project, located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, since it began in the mid-1970s. Bechtel serves as the Management Services Contractor (MSC), or “owner’s representative” for our client, the Royal Commission (RC). We are the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) managers, managing design submissions from local AE firms, and overseeing the actual construction work being performed by local contractors and sub-contractors in Jubail Industrial City. In June 2021, Bechtel’s contract with the Royal Commission was renewed for another 5 years with work focusing on building new residential communities, iconic buildings/ bridges, major site preparation, commercial buildings, mosques, schools, hospitals, sports facilities, clinics, universities, utility services and infrastructure (electrical sub-stations, lift stations), roads and highways, port & pipeline expansions, and more.
**Work Location: Ras-Al-Khair**
**The work location for this position is at Ras-Al-Khair which is located about 100 KMS north of Jubail Industrial City. You will be required to commute Jubail - Ras-Al-Khair - Jubail on a daily basis using the available transportation facility /shuttle bus service. The accommodation will be provided at Jubail Industrial City.**
The Senior Mechanical Engineer reviews and guides the Mechanical design and documentation for Royal Commission (RC) projects that are part of the growth and expansion of the Ras-Al-Khair Industrial City (RIC) in the Eastern Province.
**ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES**:
- Undertakes the review of design consultant’s and main contractor’s design and drawing packages for major projects, monitoring the engineering activity and overall project deliverables in terms of quality cost and time.
- Provides an interface between RC Engineering and the other parties to resolve technical issues. Provides support to Construction Department and dispositions field changes by reviewing FCD’s and issuing DCN’s.
- Reviews and / or approves systems specifications, design concepts, control systems, technical calculations, technical specifications and technical drawings of the following mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, power substation, telecom and government facilities projects:
- Mechanical equipment (Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Air Handling Units, Energy recovery units, Fans, VAV Systems, Piping and Ductwork Accessories, etc.).
- HVAC, Fire Protection, Life safety systems and plumbing
- Pump station across multiple utilities including potable water, fire water, sanitary and industrial waste water, sea water and chilled water.
- Ductwork and piping systems (chilled water network, hot & cold water, vent, waste, compressed air, etc.).
- Coordinates internal and external engineering activities and the interdisciplinary interfaces in close coordination with the discipline engineers and/or contractors.
- Assists with on-site observations during construction and coordinates design requirements with contractors and equipment suppliers under the direction of project engineer.
- Is knowledgeable with third party standards, procedures and approval requirements and coordinates 3rd party interfaces.
- Coaches one or several individuals in technical areas associated with Mechanical Engineering.
