Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with other disciplines (architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers) to ensure that mechanical systems are integrated into the overall building design seamlessly.
- Conduct site visits to assess building conditions, verify measurements, and ensure designs are feasible based on existing or proposed conditions.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to clarify design requirements, provide technical support, and ensure the smooth progression of the project.
- Ensure that all mechanical designs and systems adhere to local building codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest design software, industry practices, and regulatory changes to ensure the best possible solutions.
- Perform design reviews and quality checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of deliverables.
- Integrate energy-efficient systems and sustainable technologies, such as renewable energy systems, into designs to meet environmental and energy goals.
- Assist in achieving building certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM) by designing energy-efficient and environmentally responsible systems.
- Provide technical support to construction teams during installation and commissioning of mechanical systems.
- Address any design issues that arise during the construction phase and suggest solutions to ensure the systems are installed according to specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and performance testing to ensure systems operate as designed.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, system specifications, and calculations.
- Prepare and present reports for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
