Responsibilities
- Lead project teams, work with, effectively delegate to and coach Junior team members to deliver effective results.
- Develop and manage mechanical engineering projects or design deliverables for assigned projects, including investigations, report writing, design and construction administration.
- Supporting and leading business development activities for the mechanical engineering group in Vancouver, as a client facing individual.
- Developing, monitoring and maintaining project schedule and budget for mechanical engineering design deliverables.
- Ensure the quality and consistency, accuracy, and neatness of mechanical engineering and deliverables as part of corporate QA/QC program.
- Perform site investigations safely including travelling to site (including driving), walking around construction sites, carrying a ladder or other items (approximately 35lbs) around site and climbing ladder to access ceiling space, lowering self to observe mechanical services low to ground, and committing to safety regulations and requirements.
- Participate in local and corporate sustainability initiatives to positively advance both corporate and industry developments.
- Use software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, and Microsoft Office to prepare deliverables as required.
Requirements
- University Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Professional Engineer registered with EGBC.
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in Sewage Treatment Plants.
- Established reputation in the local industry.
- Must have experience in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design for buildings, including utilization of applicable codes, standards, and design tools.

Responsibilities
- Support the Senior MEP Engineer in overseeing the maintenance of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, hydraulics, elevators, and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with established KPIs and industry standards.
- Ensure proper execution and monitor preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance activities for mechanical systems in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and approved maintenance plans.
- Supervise and guide service provider teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to safety regulations and site-specific procedures during mechanical maintenance activities.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of mechanical maintenance programs, including reviewing maintenance checklists and task frequency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical assets to ensure operational integrity, performance efficiency, and compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
- Evaluate the competency and performance of service provider staff; identify skill gaps and recommend relevant training or development actions to the Senior MEP Engineer.
