Purpose
• Within his/her assigned Region, defines and develops technological improvement activity/projects, monitoring their implementation and driving their execution within his technological Process area, across the different Production Units. Identifies and promotes the best practices that impact on Quality, Productivity and Costs.
Main Responsibilities
• Monitors and drives the execution of all industrial improvement activities / projects.
• Team works in high complexity projects, interacting with different processes, areas, specialties and Research & Development centers
• Participate in the definition of global industrial improvement activities managed by Industrial process Experts
• Ensure the support to DIFAs in executing the alignment program
• Ensure the support to Line Technologists to solve operative problems related to technology
• Benchmarks and analyzes technological process information of the different mills.
• Participates in the coordination of annual and monthly technical meetings.
• Manages and develops training related activities
• Takes into consideration energy saving issues when developing phases and process.
Special skills, knowledge and experience required:
- Welding techniques/Schools/NDT Levels.
- Industrial experience in welding processes and welding plant
- Knowledge about (ERW and/or LSAW/SSAW) pipes.
- Metallurgic, Materials or Mechanical Engineer.
- More than 3 years experience in this field.
- Excellent communication in english.

Job SummaryAs the Power Production Technician at Al Udeid Airforce Base in Qatar, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of prime power generation and power distribution to on-base facilities. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and unwavering commitment to safety. You will be responsible to operate and maintain equipment including Gas- and Diesel-powered generators, ATS and MTS switches, and refueling support of power generation equipment. The Power Production Technician will be responsible to respond to the base within a two (-2-) hour notification to interface with authorized U.S. Government personnel.
Responsibilities- Leadership and Management:
- Manage resources and activities related to installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power systems.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable PWS requirements, host nation laws, and U.S. Department of Defense and State Department standards.
- Technical Expertise:
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system integrity.
- Operate, maintain, and repair all USG-provided generators, transfer switches, fuel tanks, and related equipment.
- Safety and Compliance:

Responsible to perform pre-preparation task for mould changing and set up mould for all process equipment as per the product specification while ensuring the process setting is done with minimum job setup.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform pre preparation task for mould changing in order to ensure minimum mould changing time.
Load the mould efficiently as per the standing operating procedures (SOP) given and set the machine and the process as per the product specification.
Contribute in achieving production target through effective process control.
Observe active machines to identify abnormalities in machine operation and take corrective action if required.
Carry out cleaning/ maintenance of change parts and mould accessories after production run and ensure proper storage with identification.
To ensure cleaning of material handling equipment is carried out at regular interval.
Check the mould moving parts and lubricate it and maintain a daily record of the same.
Perform minor maintenance as required and provide assistance in general maintenance if required.
Perform in process quality checks which requires accurate machine and process setting to obtain production efficiency.
Verify the accuracy of product specification and ensure Quality personnel and Production supervisors’ approval on production data sheet during mould and job changes.
Maintain the mould history cards and report it to the Supervisor and/or Production Executive if any work needs to be carried out.
Observe safety precautions on priority, especially during mould changes and be vigilant to identify potential hazards and take necessary measures to avoid any calamities.
Follow company’s HSE guidelines in respect of all operations undertaken.
Observe SOP being followed by personnel on shop floor and provide on job training to ensure strict compliance to policies and procedures.
Train, mentor and provide direction to machine operators on equipment, processes and procedures.
Perform any other job/task given by the Production Supervisor to accomplish department objectives.
