The
Manufacturing Engineering Specialist
will be based in Riyadh in Nextracker office. In this position, you will report to the
Factory General Manager
. Nextracker is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Specialist in Saudi Arabia to develop and manage its local supply chain as local supply becomes more strategic.
The Manufacturing Engineering department is responsible for driving the industrialization, ramp‑up and continuous improvement of the steel processes and supplier network through deploying category/region/supplier-specific strategies and establishing strategic relationships with core suppliers.
He/She will also be responsible to ensure correct execution of all the activities related to define, develop and launch a new or improved product or supplier.

- Lead technical qualification efforts to support product launches. Support product development using the overall prioritization, milestones, deliverables, and successful criteria for product qualification and ramp. Focus will balance quality, customer satisfaction, cost, and sustainability

- Experience with Saudi steel manufacturers and manufacturing process and regulations

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
Assist Superintendent for all fabrication and construction of new build rig. To be involved in creating work packs and planning of daily work and interfacing all departments for completion of activities. To provide on-site coordination for all phases of work, including planning of materials, workers/ subcontractors' allocation and detailed scheduling as per project requirements. To ensure projects are completed safely, on time.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist the construction day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and performance in accordance with project specification and budget.
- Carry out inspections as well as resolving and monitoring structural and rectification works.
- Execute detailed planning from fabrication of materials, sub assembly and assembly of blocks to installation and consolidation of Hull structure.
- Initiate requisition of materials and ensure they are carried out in accordance with the latest approved drawings.
- Supervise and monitor the progress of Structural fabrication and construction activities to ensure they are properly constructed to the approved design and specifications.
- Work and liaise with other trades to improvise construction sequencing works for systems and their supports, penetrations, equipment installations and interference checks/ studies for block integration and consolidation. Plan and establish work schedules and production sequence to meet project goals.
- Review technical drawings and advise Engineering of any discrepancies before commencement of any fabrication works.
- Facilitate weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements of work completion, and other issues as may be required including but not limited to manpower requirements, interference coordination, inspections, and sequence of work. Distribute three-week look ahead schedules and communicate schedule requirements with all subcontractors.
- Manage the structural construction team to ensure there is a consistent focus on a high level of detailed scope understanding and early issue identification, tracking and mitigation.
- Demonstrate strong initiative around decision making and ability to conceptualize plans and technical solutions to deal with a wide array of standard and innovative construction issues.
- Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule. Promptly notify management team of schedule and performance issues, be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact the project performance. Apply strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements and ensure the same is communicated to the project team on a regular basis.
- Identify the work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze the work problems in writing with own problem-solving mentality, accurate supervision, decision-maker with a strong convincing personality, full readiness with 'Plan B' for any unexpected issues.
- Lead the delivery of all Inspection Test Records (ITR's) under the relevant discipline by effectively delegating to the foreman and chargehands. This must be approached with a high focus on interfacing and coordination with all other discipline supervision to remove all blocks from achieving target dates

PIPECARE is looking for a professional and experienced Production Engineer to join their organization Candidates who can join immediately with past experience as Production Engineer have added advantage.
Job Functions, Responsibilities & Authorities
- Sets up of the workshop and implementation of system that will allow for both physical and system stock control, asset movement monitoring, and organized procurement
- Assist to run the facility, production lines, machines and manpower, main task to deliver the final product based on company procedures and work process flow.
- Ensure raw material is available at workshop based on minimum stock qty and commercial projects plan, consider sales forecast input to secure the raw material.
- Assist in preparing and managing the production plan through digital production on ERP.
- Create yearly or quarterly budget for running the workshop.
- Assist in maintaining the weekly /Monthly reports for the workshop through digital production on ERP.
- To be able to resolve all technical issues of all production lines at workshop: production lines are Polyurethane, mechanical production, electronics and Assembly.
- Each production line must have its conveyor system, plan, input and output, workshop manager to ensure conveyor system is implemented to run every production line
- Prepare BOM; based on mechanical / electronics design.
- Ensure purchasing job is done to procure all needed material for production line.
- All type shipment for production, raw material for production lines or final product going out from workshop to our client, all shipment is planned, execution will be done by supply chain team but production Engineer is the main responsible person to ensure no miss and all activities are planned under his direct control and responsibilities.
- Follow up with supply chain personnel to ensure workshop store has all type raw material required for production line.
- Two main plans should be always implemented at the workshop, production and improvement plans.
- Production Engineer has to report all technical and workshop running tasks to the Sr. Production Manager or Production director.
- Production Engineer will approve material request / service request on ERP, to ensure that production buy/outsource the material which is really needed for production to secure the store for minimum stock, ensure we will not have non-moving items in the store.
- Responsible for optimum utilization of resources available for the workshop in terms of machinery, manpower, utilities, consumables etc. for the various jobs being conducted.
- To ensure that the activities of the workshop are well coordinated in order to complete the jobs received within the allocated time frame, quality parameters, class requirements and budgeted cost.
- To develop and implement procedures for requisition of bill of materials and other resources from stores and purchase department and liaison with sub – contractors to get material and ensure their payments are made on time.
- Responsible for budgets for the purchase of materials, fixings and fastenings and machine tools to ensure the smooth progression of projects through the workshop.
- To develop and implement a system to ensure regular maintenance service for the machinery and for breakdown related activities.
- Completion and submission of all the required documentation to support the workshop activities including damage reports, repair procedures, quality tests and results, completion reports, additional work reports etc.
- Daily attendance and sickness records have to be kept alongside individual records of what work is carried out and on which projects. This is for project costing purposes and for traceability of components in case of problems arising.
- Traceability is a vital activity both at material and component level and the workshop manager is responsible for maintaining a database of everything purchased work done and by whom.
- The Production Engineer is responsible for the quality of the work carried out and performs incoming and outgoing inspection on all parts and assemblies or delegates that work.
- In a potentially very dangerous working environment, the manager is responsible maintaining safe working practices, keeping COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) information up to date and ensuring everybody is conversant with this information.
- Ensure all procedures and work instructions are kept up to date.
- Protect company asset and resources, manpower, building, machine, vehicles.
- Monitor departmental KPI's.
- Production Engineer will manage the manpower of production line, workshop manager is responsible for his team performance and productivities on monthly basis.
- Ensure all work orders are managed correctly
- You will need to work closely with the quality department to deal with any NCR's.
- Run daily meetings, along with weekly briefings, to ensure that teams are clearly focused.
- Accountable for the safety of workshop personnel and provision of a safe workplace, including the production of Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of work.
- Responsible for the implementation of 5S and other HSEQ standard within the workshop.
- Conduct final check for all Tools and Spares before release to project site and ensure all checklists to be signed properly.
- Assures administrative work on workshop rent, utilities management, part time hiring of lifting equipment, vehicles, manpower support
- Has an authority to take disciplinary actions on parties not following the process, and especially when having an impact on:
- Asset Value;
- tool quality;
- safety;
- reporting
- Ensures tools and spare parts are stored in proper condition and in suitable environment
Competency Requirements
Knowledge, skills & abilities required:
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics or Mechanical engineering Background OR Production Engineer.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as Assistant workshop manager / Asst. Production Manager.
- Advance GMP / Lean manufacturing training and implementation skills
- Strong command of English in addition to communication skills
- Must be flexible with work hours & timings
- Leader ship skills.

- No. Of rejected outgoing tools/spares (not higher than 3%)
- No of rejected incoming spares/tools (not higher than 3%)
- 0 Human /environmental accidents in workshop
- Accomplishment of tasks in time

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility: Must be able to walk and climb to perform duties, including maneuvering within a refinery or plant environment and accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Communication: Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing, or other communication capabilities, to communicate effectively.
- Focus and Multitasking: Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Safety Equipment: Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection, if/where needed in manufacturing environments.
