The candidate will also create the repair workorders for inspection and repair, prepare the scope of work and Inspection/Completion reports for each job orders, Lead the repair qualification for new components.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Managing Inspection and Calibration tools and equipment (status, certificates, etc)
- Creating & issuing launching of the router & digital check form (including the non- standard ones) and repair workorders for inspection and repair.
- Identify opportunity of improvement on method and operation to reduce TAT, increase productivity and Quality to share with COE for implementation. Project Carrying out quality assurance tests/validation on new designs. Developing Manufacturing processes for Product flow, Assembly, Testing, Tools & fixture requirement.
- Identifying of potential spares for repair items, to advance the spares procurement. Support the procurement team to identify the safety stock (material available on inventory) to reduce TAT during the repair activities.
- Create, using a dedicated digital tool, the Preliminary and Final report for each job to delivery results to Customer. Managing the preparation of Inspection and completion reports for each job orders.
- Work as a technical reference during the qualification process working Leading the repair qualification of new components and working closely with operation team to develop work instruction and review the standard router and check form.
- Making sure the tooling required for a job is ready to begin the production present into the router and available into the workshop, if not open the work flow to process with definition of verification of application of existing tool or the request of new one.
- Review all the documents shared with Customer as responsible of Intellectual Property managing, raise the hand and highlight the risk in case of critical situation.
- Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical job reviews both internal (example: RAC) and external (example: meeting with Customer) when required.
- Uploading of reports and update job status and coordinating with HQ / relevant engineering resources for new repair process. Work closely with COE team to develop and implement new method or process to improve the inspection and repair.
- Ensuring Health, Environment and Safety compliance.
- Working on cross-functional projects/teams to deliver technology solutions for the business.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Have at least 5 years' experience in rotating equipment manufacturing, (rotors experience is a plus)
- Be available to work on weekends and in long shift hours when needed.
- Be familiar with shop activities (cleaning, inspecting, machining of parts).
- Be familiar with Cranes, lifting equipment ant tools, Forklift, etc. as well as shop activities (cleaning, inspecting, machining of parts).
- Have experience as inspector for shop activities relevant to gas turbine / centrifugal compressor and be familiar with mechanical maintenance work (only preferred).
- Be familiar with gas turbine / centrifugal compressor products (only preferred).

Summary
The Paint Equipment Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead role in designing new Paint equipment at Lucid. The Paint Equipment Engineer will work closely with contractors, Manufacturing Operations, Facilities, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction, and other cross-functional teams to ensure Paint equipment is properly designed and installed.
Job Duties
- Demonstrate the ability to lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex equipment engineering development.
- Demonstrate knowledge of paint processes from design such as PTED, Sealer, paint booth.
- Able to work cross-functionally with all disciplines involved in specifying and engineering Paint equipment.
- Work collaboratively with project team on all stages of Paint line development from conception to launch.
- Ability to efficiently implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes.
- Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications/ disciplines.
- Familiarity with reading paint equipment schematics.
- Use of 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs.
- Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding logic, PLC studio 5000 preferred.
- Work with layout engineering to prepare and optimize Paint equipment layouts.
- Experience working with the following equipment: paint automation, sealer automation, sealer dispensing systems, ASRS, conveyance, RO systems, Air dryer, Paint mix equipment, RTO, paint curing ovens.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required.
- 5+ years in Paint Equipment/ Manufacturing Engineering
- Experience in the automotive Paint equipment design/ sustaining is a must.
- Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
- Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia and Delmia.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

- Utilize analytic problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar certifications / disciplines to problem solve BIW Production issues for equipment and product quality.
- Problem-solve manufacturing dimensional body accuracy issues and strategize execution plan for equipment and part quality loop to achieve body accuracy targets during launch
- Ability to efficiently implement engineering solutions on manufacturing equipment based on product design changes
- Use of 3D modeling and simulations to validate equipment designs
- Familiarity with equipment control systems, equipment I/Os and basic machine coding PLC logic
- Work with layout engineering to prepare and optimize Body in White line layouts
- Experience working with the following equipment: robotics, end of arm tooling, pick and place automation, position sensors, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, conveyor and laser cleaning/ metrology
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering required
- 5+ years in Body in White Equipment / Manufacturing / Process Engineering
- Experience in the automotive Body in White equipment design/ Operations is a must
- Experience working with the following equipment: Fixtures, spot welding & other Joining Equipment, Conveyors, robotics, material handling, fluid dispensing, deflection analysis, vision systems, measurement/metrology systems
- Hands-on Experience with BIW related Equipment
- Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments.
- Possesses strong presentation skills and communicates clearly and professionally at various levels both inside and outside the company.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Manufacturing Technology Engineer
This role is responsible to drive the unit level continuous improvement program that delivers maximum value from the assets in alignment with business strategy, while continuously improving EH&S performance and production efficiency. Ensures Business Technology Implementation Plans (BTIP) are executed and validates performance meets or exceeds expected results. Partners with plant operation and maintenance personnel to identify and track performance indicators to identify technology gaps and improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Build respect and trust of the operations team because of their great process technology knowledge and continuous improvement skill set.
- Drive knowledge exchange with technology experts (Operations, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering, internal consultant groups, sister plants, local external experts) to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities for the technology.
- Partner with the Manufacturing Technology (MT) Technology Implementation Specialists (TIS) to develop and implement projects from the Operations Business Technology Implementation Plan (BTIP) that deliver positive year-over-year ROC (return on capital) and non-capital continuous improvement while meeting the plant level EH&S improvement goals.
- Ensure Business Technology Implementation Plan projects are fully implemented and validate the performance delivers or exceeds the expected results.
- Partner with plant operation and maintenance personnel to identify and track performance indicators to be used in identification of technology gaps and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Support the facility root cause failure analysis process by serving as a team member or facilitator for incidents related to process technology.
- Lead and support plant continuous improvement activities aligned to the BTIP and also support the capital plan for the facility. This includes leading continuous improvement activities for the facility and may include serving in specific project management & execution roles for smaller projects.
- Champions the “next unplanned event” exercise for the plant and ensures potential solutions are captured in the appropriate prioritization system.
- Serves as the implementation arm of Manufacturing Technology. This includes serving as the local focal point for technology implementation, and Process Safety Management (PSM) follow-up. Accountable to Manufacturing Technology for delivery of improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
- 5-7 years of manufacturing or related experience preferred
- Line of business experience preferred
