The role holder is responsible for planning train maintenance ensuring smooth operations. The role holder works closely with the rolling stock maintenance planning manager to provide support and operational oversight.
Core Responsibilities:
- Guide and develop an overarching plan that guides the maintenance activities for SAR passenger depots.
- Coordinate and liaise with multiple stakeholders, local maintenance teams, passenger engineering teams and contractors as required to develop resources plans.
- Develop long-term plans based on the maintenance activities as part of the PM maintenance plan in line with the OEM and SAR standards.
- Coordinate and plan maintenance activities of the Passenger fleet in East/West and North South networks.
- Minimize train shutdown by enhancing maintenance operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or a similar Engineering field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Prior experience in planning/operations.

Job Responsibilities- Schedule work orders and develop job network diagrams.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and supervise preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance (PdM) tasks for all plant equipment and facilities.
Analyze equipment failure trends and implement reliability improvement strategies.
Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians and contractors.
Develop and monitor maintenance KPIs (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, equipment uptime).
Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime during maintenance.
Ensure maintenance tasks comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and update CMMS records.

Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
PRC license is an advantage
