PurposeThe purpose of the job is to build foundation to mechanical maintenance at site, lead mechanical maintenance operation acting as key contact towards customer in technical issues. The site is greenfield and needs guidance and support to achieve safe and smooth operation. Work will include tasks typical to a greenfield site where team members need to be trained and coached and maintenance processes need to be developed. As a senior member you will drive development and creation of plant maintenance structures.
Responsibilities- Building foundation and lead site mechanical maintenance work of gold processing plant.
- Manage and develop site maintenance strategy. Make annual maintenance plan/strategy to develop services continuously. Lead the plan execution at site. Build plant mechanical instructions, ensure they are effectively conducted.
- Build a foundation to quality maintenance services at site. Work as a leader of maintenance teams. Lead and motivate personnel to achieve sustained high levels of performance and ensure all maintenance personnel are appropriately trained.
- Develop and build reporting structures and KPIs. Create comprehensive reporting structures internally/externally.
- Evaluate site performance against benchmarks, identify development areas. Recognize and act to prevent breakdowns, loss in productivity, recovery%, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Provide expertise and technical support in development and improvement of the reliability of systems in the plant including data gathering, failure analysis, troubleshooting and development of predictive/preventive maintenance programs with the site team.
- Evaluate failure root causes and specify method of repair for plant equipment. Support site in achieving minimal downtime due to equipment failures. Support in removing bottlenecks in production. Analyze plant and equipment performance with site teams and coordinate communication to Metso business lines to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Organize cross-technical meetings with BL and site to review site performance, challenges, and action plans. Aim to optimize plant designs for cost effectiveness, reliability, operability, maintainability and safety.
- Take responsibility for safety standards in maintenance in accordance with company policy. Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with all HSEQ regulations and standards during work and statutory/regulatory requirements.
- Manage and develop site-level customer relationships to improve customer satisfaction.
- Manage Health & Safety System for the site, according to OHSAS 18001. Manage Quality System for the site, according to ISO 9001. Manage Environmental System for the site, according to ISO 14001.
