Job Purpose:
The Line Supervisor is the first-line manager responsible for the smooth operation. Ensure efficient and high-quality production according to set schedules and safety protocols.
Description:
- Handle full responsibility of the shift in terms of management of staff, production, quality targets, line efficiency, and waste management to ensure the smooth running of the production processes.
- Take full responsibility for the quality and product produced within the shift, ensuring compliance with the company's quality systems, processes, and procedures, as well as optimizing line efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Manage, develop, and motivate direct reporting staff.
- Monitor, measure, and report on production-related process performance, including line efficiency, waste generation, and general issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to optimize performance.
- Ensure good communication is given either verbally or written to all members of staff.
- Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift and all matters relating to this are dealt with using the resources within the company in line with the company's
- Health and Safety policy.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills must be used to ensure that all team members can identify root causes and take fast effective action to resolve the problems in hand.
- Collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure production handovers are effective communication tools, facilitating seamless operations between shifts.
- Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace
- Responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs.
