OverviewWe are seeking a Downstream Data Scientist to join the Global Optimizer Department.
The Global Optimizer Development Department (GOD) charter is to optimize crude allocation and the operations of global manufacturing facilities in order to maximize revenue, increase profitability, and capture international market opportunities.
Your primary role is to analyze and structure large amounts of raw live and historical data, build algorithms and solutions around the data to drive decision making within the company. Your role will be at the core of the forecasting and predictive digital strategy of the company, to support the development of state-of-the-art solution for the Downstream Digital Center.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Formulate and lead multi-faceted analytic studies against large volumes of data.
- Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific method.
- Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data.
- Experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results and provide previously undiscovered solutions to command data challenges.
- Lead all data experiments tasked by the Data Science Team.
- Coordinate with Data Engineers to build data environments providing data identified by Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Knowledge Managers, and Intel Analysts.
- Develop methodology and processes for prioritization and scheduling of projects.
- Analyze problems and determines root causes.
- Define company data assets (data models), spark, sparkSQL, and hiveSQL jobs to populate data models.
- Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture.
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields. An advanced degree is preferred.
- You will have a minimum 7 years of professional experience as a data Scientist.
- You will have Proficiency with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.).
- You will be able to demonstrate experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems.
- You will also have experience in utilizing visualization tools to take advantage of the growing volume of available information.

**Job Description**:
**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Life and Safety Engineer to join our team working on the design of a state-of-the-art railway project, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with the multi discipline design team to integrate fire life and safety principles into the railway design, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Conduct comprehensive fire hazard assessments and risk analyses for the railway project, identifying potential fire and safety risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Develop and review fire protection and life safety plans, including fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems, ensuring their effectiveness and compliance.
- Provide expert guidance and support in the selection, design, and installation of fire protection systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and fire suppression equipment.
- Evaluate and propose measures to enhance emergency response capabilities, such as emergency communication systems, emergency lighting, and evacuation signage.
- Conduct thorough analysis and simulations to assess the performance and effectiveness of evacuation strategies and tunnel ventilation systems.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as regulatory bodies and fire departments, to ensure compliance and obtain necessary approvals for the railway design.
- Stay up to date with advancements in fire life and safety technologies, standards, and best practices, and provide recommendations for their implementation in the project.
- Conduct periodic inspections and audits to ensure ongoing compliance of the railway infrastructure with fire life and safety requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering disciplines, contractors, and project stakeholders on fire life and safety matters.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (15+ years) working as a Fire Life and Safety Engineer on railway projects, with a focus on high-speed, freight, and underground railways.
- Prior experience working in the Middle East on railway projects is highly desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, as well as familiarity with other relevant international fire life and safety regulations.
- Strong understanding of fire hazard analysis, risk assessment methodologies, and fire protection systems design.
- Proficiency in conducting evacuation modelling and analysis, including familiarity with software tools for simulation and assessment.
- Experience in designing and assessing tunnel ventilation systems, including smoke control and management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide practical and innovative solutions for complex fire life and safety challenges.

**What You'll Be Doing**:
**LEED Accreditation and Maintenance**:
- Conduct annual due diligence and updates for LEED accreditation of the Masterplan.
- Manage and update LEED data on the ARC platform, including Base Data for various credit categories.
- Collaborate with Urban Planning and Projects Management Department to integrate sustainable practices into the Masterplan, particularly focusing on social engagement in public realm spaces.
