• Washing, ironing, and folding clothes and linens with knowledge and skill
• Collecting laundry loads and washing according to color and fabric type
• Removing stains and maintaining brightness of colors
• Operating large washing, drying, and folding machines
• Being courteous to guests/residents
• Having good communication skills

This role requires standing for long periods. Employees must communicate effectively, sit, stand, walk, and handle equipment and objects. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds is required. The environment involves moderate noise and may require travel to different locations.

The Role

As a Laundry Attendant, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests and our colleagues by personally ensuring that all hotel laundry is processed quickly and efficiently, in line with the highest standards of Red Sea Global Hospitality.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Laundry Attendant, you will need to:

• Ensure that all guest and other hotel laundry is processed quickly and efficiently, in line with the laundry requirements of each item and the SOPs of the hotel, keeping all item clean and in good condition.
• Control chemical and laundry supplies consumption and ensure safe usage of chemicals.
• Operate the laundry machines following the provided instructions, including weight limits and other specifications.
• Sort all linens to be laundered by grouping them with similar items in terms of usage and color.
• Promptly retrieve all laundry items from guest rooms as necessary.
• Segregate guest laundry into categories for dry cleaning, pressing, or washing, and forward them to the appropriate department.
• Ensure that all guest laundry items are correctly processed before returning them to the rooms.
• Deliver guest laundry to rooms while respecting any 'Do Not Disturb' requests from guests.
• Submit billing details to the cashiering department before the end of the shift.
• Perform any additional duties as required for operational smoothness.

As a Uniform Room/Laundry Attendant at our resort, you will be responsible for ensuring that all uniforms and linens are properly maintained, cleaned, and distributed to resort staff and guests. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation that our guests expect. This role requires a diligent individual who can efficiently manage laundry operations while adhering to established procedures and timelines.

Laundry Operations:- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently, including washing machines, dryers, and press machines.- Handle stained or damaged items appropriately, following specific guidelines for treatment or disposal.- Maintain inventory of linens and uniforms, keeping track of stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.- Ensure that all laundry processes adhere to health and safety standards.

Uniform Management:- Receive, inspect, and distribute clean uniforms to resort staff in a timely manner.- Keep accurate records of uniform assignments and returns, monitoring for any discrepancies or missing items.- Perform minor repairs or alterations to uniforms as necessary, such as sewing on buttons or mending seams.- Coordinate with department heads to determine uniform requirements for new hires or changes in staff roles.

Quality Control:- Inspect laundered items for quality assurance, ensuring that they meet the resort's standards for cleanliness and presentation.- Report any issues or concerns regarding laundry quality, equipment malfunctions, or inventory shortages to the appropriate supervisor.- Implement corrective measures as needed to address deficiencies and maintain consistency in laundry operations.

Team Collaboration:- Collaborate with other members of the housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure seamless coordination of laundry services.- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to prioritize tasks and resolve any issues that may arise.- Foster a positive working environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a willingness to assist others.

- High school diploma or equivalent.- Previous experience in laundry operations or a similar role preferred.- Familiarity with industrial laundry equipment and procedures.- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts as needed.
