**Supervisor, Chemistry Laboratory**
in this role, you will be a key member of the department's safety team and provides awareness around safety first. You will be relied upon heavily by other colleagues such as technicians, peers, Department Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager and other positions. In this role you will guide the technical staff in timely completion of daily work and may be designated as the main contact for customer on-site visits
This position will be based at Neom site in KSA
**Responsibilities**:
- Manage initiatives for the Chemistry laboratory operations in conjunction with location safety strategy ,under the direction of the Laboratory Manager and / or Operations Manager, assisting in the efficient operation and growth of the department
- Provide professional and timely customer service to both internal and external customers ,ensuring customer satisfaction ,provide directing supervision of laboratory technical staff
- Work with department supervisors, technical experts, or technicians at the local laboratory to obtain input and assist in the creation for testing scope, and complex quotations
- Under the direction of the assigned Department Manager, may participate and contribute in perform supervisory responsibilities to include hiring decisions, performance management input, decisions and execution, and approval of overtime and time cards.
- Carry out project management, employee development, discipline, other transactional duties associated with this role
Skills / Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety along with strong computer skills and basic mathematical skills
- Ability to work primarily alone and make independent decisions during the course of the work day, and able to communicate and demonstrate the importance of meeting all applicable requirements of assigned department
- Excellent communication skills and telephone etiquette and proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
- Needs to have a valid Saudi driving licence

The Laboratory Technician oversees all operations in the labs, workshops, and studios, including conducting research, supervising students, assisting with lab experiments, and ensuring lab safety protocols are followed. The role involves managing and maintaining additive and subtractive manufacturing systems, such as robotic arms, CNC machines, 3D multijet printers, and laser cutting technologies. The technician also familiarizes new staff with safety equipment locations, supports research and innovation projects, assists researchers and students in prototyping, and ensures compliance with safety protocols. Additionally, the technician handles record keeping, shipping, ordering, and inventory management.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities- Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots robotic arms, CNC machines, 3D printers, and laser cutting systems.
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to prototype and execute innovative experiments, contributing expertise to design experiments and improve methodologies.
- Assists in prototyping and fabrication for research and industry projects.
- Supervises students working in laboratories and workshops, and manages laboratory development and operations.
- Prepares research materials, including equipment setup and supplies.
- Ensures laboratory equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and functioning; assists with procuring additional laboratory supplies.
- Adheres to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Prepares reports, presentations, and protocols.
- Manages inventory, calibrations, and system upgrades for lab equipment, including stock management, placing orders, and processing receipts.
- Provides technical support to researchers and students on safe lab and workshop practices; implements safety protocols and ensures compliance with lab regulations.
- Conducts tutorial sessions in the lab and workshop.
- Assists in documenting lab procedures, maintaining records of experiments, helping students prepare reports, and grading reports if needed.
- Performs regular self-inspections of all equipment to ensure regulatory compliance and familiarizes new staff with safety equipment locations.
- Posts and maintains regular office hours for advisement and consultation.
- Performs other duties professionally, effectively, and confidentially as assigned by the manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Digital Fabrication, or an equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Classification and Registration.
- Minimum of three (03) years' experience in lab management, equipment maintenance, research, data collection, and analysis, or related fields. For master's degree holders, at least one year of experience is required.
