Description

FMC Group is a German-owned full-service consulting company with 25 years of experience supporting international companies with market entry and business development in emerging markets. We currently operate in Turkey, North Africa, the UAE, and Singapore, and we are now expanding our presence in Saudi Arabia.

Our Research Services Competence Centre provides tailored B2B market research, partner search, and market visits across various industrial and professional sectors. To support this growth, we are looking for freelance consultants in Saudi Arabia with a strategic mindset and strong business orientation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting in-depth desk research using local and regional sources, databases, and publications
  • Identifying and interviewing industry experts, companies, and relevant stakeholders to gather firsthand insights
  • Analyzing findings and preparing clear, structured reports in English
  • Collaborating with the FMC team remotely and providing cultural or other business insights
  • Providing on-the-ground support during fieldwork or client engagements as required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

· Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)

· Minimum 5 years of business experience, ideally in business development, strategic planning, consulting, or market research in B2B/industries

· Strong understanding of the business landscape in Saudi Arabia; GCC experience is a plus

· Experience with industry or company research, mapping stakeholder ecosystems, and structuring findings

· Native-level Arabic and excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

· Analytical thinker with attention to detail and structured working style

· Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

· Comfortable with remote collaboration and flexible schedules

· No travel restrictions (in case occasional in-person meetings are needed)

  • Each individual performs only those tests that are authorized by the laboratory director and require a degree of skill commensurate with the individual's education, training or experience, and technical abilities
  • They follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
  • Follow the laboratory's established corrective action policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance
  • Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids, such as blood and urine, using microscope or automatic analyzer to detect abnormalities or diseases, and enter findings into computer
  • Set up, adjust, maintain and clean medical laboratory equipment
  • Collect blood from patients, observing principles of asepsis to obtain blood sample
  • Responsible for all quality and safety improvement related to his job
  • Perform other duties as assigned by lab supervisor and director

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
  • Proven experience working as a Lab Specialist or in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, protocols, and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately perform laboratory tests
  • Solid understanding of quality control measures and regulatory requirements
  • Experience in developing and implementing laboratory protocols and guidelines
  • Ability to train and mentor laboratory staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be SCFHS certified

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in a laboratory setting is preferred
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) is a plus

Advanced Smelting Industries Co. (ASIC), which is equally owned by Tasnee, is seeking a Specialist II, Laboratory based in Jizan, KSA. The successful candidate will report directly to the Production Superintendent.

Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Laboratory Specialist to manage and communicate laboratory shift work, safety, testing, experiments, document control, timekeeping, and quality control. The role includes overseeing lab supervisors, technicians, and analysts, and conducting analytical and technical tests within a specialized laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-time analysis of research samples related to metallurgy, furnace, or laboratory processes without disrupting daily operations.
  • Calibration, verification, and validation of equipment such as XRF, OES, TGA, CS, particle size analyzers, and wet chemical methods for slag and ilmenite to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintaining equipment through AMC management to prevent breakdowns and ensure continuous lab operations.
  • Managing inventory of spare parts, chemicals, and consumables.
  • Leading Round Robin Cycles to benchmark lab performance against other labs.
  • Supporting the implementation of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 QMS.
  • Quick troubleshooting of analysis or equipment issues to prevent disruptions.
  • Participating in technical meetings for analytical improvements and research planning.
  • Training and coaching staff on new equipment, analysis methods, and troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Postgraduate Degree in Chemistry.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, such as metals or chemicals.
  • At least 10 years of laboratory and testing experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong report writing and communication skills.
  • Experience in method development, planning, and instrument calibration.
  • Skills in quality inspection planning.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Expertise in instrument calibration and method validation.
