Class Teachers have a responsibility for delivering the majority of the curriculum to their class, but will work closely with colleagues ensuring a collaborative approach to teaching and learning across the Year Group. The children therefore receive the same opportunities, and all teachers feel supported by a strong team.

Arabic, Islamic, Music and PE will be taught by specialist teachers to enhance the curriculum. Each class receives support from a dedicated Teaching Assistant.

• Professional documentation and display of children’s work

• Establishment and maintenance of positive classroom relationships where all members of the class are respected and valued

• Assist in the smooth planning and operation of school functions such as Sport’s Day, school performances, Graduation celebrations and cultural celebration activities

• Work as an active and participatory team member

• Attend staff meetings

• Engage in active on going professional development

Arabic teachers are required to act as internal cover to Arabic teaching colleagues that are on medical leave and urgent leave

Arabic teachers are required to work with assistant teachers to conduct holiday programmes.

Lead an ECA and be actively part of a professional learning committee

• Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Principal.

Qualifications

• Education in Teaching (Arabic language), or Teaching Arabic as a foreign language

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in school setting is required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Able to work well independently as well as within a team

• Fluent in Arabic, with good oral and written English skills;

• Strong Arabic literary and writing skills is required

• Have passion in education career, with dedication, love and patience for children
