About Reigate Grammar School Riyadh
Reigate Grammar School Riyadh (RGSR) is a British International School educating approximately 1,500 students aged 3-18. Established in 2022, RGSR is the first of a series of schools in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to be opened in partnership between Reigate Grammar School (RGS) and ADECO.
RGS was founded by Alderman Henry Smith in 1675. For over 345 years, young people have been educated on the same site, in the heart of Reigate, a historic market town 15 miles south of the City of London. RGS is regarded as one of the leading co-educational schools in the UK offering the very best academic education with equal prominence placed on the arts, sport and a rich extra-curricular programme.
RGSR is one of a small number of schools to operate under the Royal Commission for Riyadh City's (RCRC) International Schools Programme. Students follow the EYFS and National Curriculum for England from Nursery to KS3, before studying towards iGCSE and A-Level qualifications in Key Stage 4 and 5 respectively. While we follow a British National Curriculum model, RGSR is a truly international school that derives its identity from both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the range of over 50 nationalities that make up our School.
We pride ourselves on our close relationships with its parents, and work collaboratively to create a supportive learning environment that allows every student to fulfil their potential. Our priority is to care for each individual child; nurturing their unique blend of talents and abilities. We are firmly committed to developing the whole child and believe that a holistic, well-rounded education fosters the skills required to support lifelong learning, ensuring our students make the most of opportunities that may arise and are well prepared for the future and the challenges that await.

BISR boasts a vibrant and supportive community. Our students are exceptionally motivated and a joy to engage with daily. Our staff are deeply committed and foster a positive, enjoyable atmosphere. Whilst we offer a competitive compensation package, our primary focus is on attracting individuals who are driven by a genuine passion for education, rather than financial gain.
We seek dedicated educators who are eager to contribute to making BISR the leading British-style school in the region and a recognised benchmark for British education worldwide. We expect all teachers to actively participate in our co-curricular program, including offering an extra-curricular activity and contributing to the House system.
The Curriculum at BISR
BISR provides a comprehensive academic program grounded in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stages 1, 2, and 3 of the English National Curriculum. In our senior section, we offer IGCSEs and A-levels, with the option of the International Baccalaureate Programme at the post-16 level, depending on the specific campus.
Whilst our foundation is the English National Curriculum, we embrace our international context to enrich our educational approach. We draw upon best practices from other respected curricula, fostering an innovative delivery of the National Curriculum. We are particularly interested in educators who appreciate and leverage the unique opportunities our location provides.
BISR is dedicated to supporting the academic and social needs of our internationally mobile student body. We encourage all students to pursue continuous personal and academic growth. Our teachers are committed to nurturing intellectually curious, creative, respectful, caring, and discerning young adults. We instill a strong sense of responsibility to both the community and the environment. We value a collaborative partnership with parents, working together to support the school's drive for excellence.
