Role Summary

This role supports client IT teams in understanding critical security intelligence and operations issues, exposures, and vulnerabilities, while guiding threat-hunting processes. The specialist will articulate IBM’s SIOC (Security Intelligence and Operations Center) and SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) perspectives, including financial and business implications. Leveraging deep knowledge of security principles and counter-threat intelligence, the individual defines and develops security strategies, programs, plans, and actionable recommendations.

1. Expertise in Security Intelligence, Operations, and Threat Hunting .
2. Strong understanding of SIEM platforms and SIOC frameworks , ideally IBM-specific.
3. Familiarity with various cyber threats and effective mitigation strategies.
4. Hands-on experience with IBM QRadar or equivalent security monitoring tools.
5. Ability to articulate security strategy and its financial and operational impact to clients and stakeholders.
6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills .
7. Experience delivering Data & Application Security Services within enterprise or hybrid cloud environments.

Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering / Information Technology or related, CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC – Audit / Lead Auditor, CFE

Experience:
- 6 years of Security experience and exposure to most current Security standards and operations
- At least 3 years in consulting, auditing and optimizing Security for medium & large Corporates
- Expertise in Large Security infrastructure Design & Rollout
- Experience in Security Audits & Risk Assessments services
- Expertise in BCP field and/or Forensic Services

- Good knowledge of Financial / Telecom / Government operations

Your next role

An exciting opportunity for a proactive urban planning professional to join Buro Happold's Security Design Team in Riyadh on a six month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for someone passionate about shaping secure, resilient urban environments. While prior experience in security planning is not required, a strong foundation in urban design and planning will be highly valuable.

Your key duties

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and security specialists to integrate security principles into urban planning and masterplans.
• Support the development of physical security strategies for public spaces, transport hubs, and critical infrastructure.
• Translate planning-level design concepts into compelling presentations using MS Office and PowerPoint.
• Conduct site analysis, zoning, circulation, and spatial planning with a security-focused approach.
• Present ideas and design strategies fluently in both Arabic and English to clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing reports, diagrams, and visual materials to communicate design intent and security considerations.
• Participate in workshops, client meetings, and internal design reviews.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Graduate or consultant-level experience in Urban Planning, Urban Design, or related field.

• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Strong understanding of the design process for the built environment at the planning level.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, especially in PowerPoint.
• No prior experience in security planning required but must have a strong interest in transitioning into physical security design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and a lifelong learner with a "doer" mindset.
• Comfortable working in a small, dynamic office setting.

Desirable Attributes

• Familiarity with GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, or other urban design tools.
