To design and implement the IsDB network infrastructure and network security infrastructure for on-premise and cloud environments across IsDB HQ and Regional Hubs aligned with the relevant IT policies, processes standards, and guidelines and operate the network in line with the agreed SLAs and KPIs through the end-to-end operations life cycle including designing, deploying, administering, operating, monitoring, and supporting to meet the requirements of internal and external business stakeholders, ensuring availability, performance, security that enables the secure connectivity between internal and external business users and IT services as well as between integrated IT services. Network infrastructure includes local area networks, wide area networks, data centre and cloud infrastructure networks, user access networks, wired and wireless networks and other solutions that enhance network performance and availability. Network security infrastructure includes, firewalls, network access control solutions and other network security capabilities that enable business users to access the IsDB IT environment securely from any location and using any device.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Design and implement the overall network and network security infrastructure for on-premise cloud environments based on industry standards and best practices including deployment, administering, operating, monitoring, and supporting to support the operational business needs and meet availability, performance, and security requirements with target SLAs and KPIs
- Ensure appropriate tools, solutions, processes and procedures and other mechanisms are developed, maintained and implemented to achieve performance targets, security controls, service levels and operational continuity
- Support the selection, coordination, partnering and consultation with network and network security solution vendors to ensure appropriate third parties are selected for the implementation, enhancement, operations, and support of collaboration solutions
- Supervise third parties delivering network and network security operations and monitoring services to ensure compliance to SLA’s, process adherence and innovation to achieve operational objectives for availability, performance and security according to agreed service levels
- Coordinate with the relevant business solution and IT services owners to ensure that network and network security services and configurations meet the requirements and are aligned with enterprise architecture, solution architecture, and infrastructure and security architecture guidelines
- Ensure the development, implementation, maintenance and review of appropriate privileged security roles and profiles to manage the network and network security infrastructure components
- Establish controls to ensure that changes to network and network security infrastructure follows the change management processes to minimize the risk of disruption to the production environments and ensure operational continuity
- Develop and manage the quality assurance plans related to the network and network security infrastructure to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
- Analyze network performance and develop solutions with action plans to enhance and tune performance to meet SLAs and KPIs
- Coordinate with relevant teams to plan, design, implement and test the operational resiliency of the IsDB networks that will also enable disaster recovery scenarios to ensure that IsDB maintains the ability to maintain business operations in the event of a crisis or major incident
- Supervise the monitoring and troubleshooting of incidents related to the IsDB network and network security infrastructure to meet incident resolution targets within agreed upon SLAs
- Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure that information security policies, processes, standards and guidelines are implemented and maintained for network and network security infrastructure to ensure appropriate risk mitigation controls are in place are in accordance to IsDB requirements
- Support the end-to-end procurement of network and network security architecture and services to ensure the best value for IsDB
- Update and maintain the recommended procedures, work methods and standards for network and network security operations such as backup, security, monitoring, patching, release and deployment, and change to minimize risk of service disruption and achieve availability, performance and security targets
- Support or deliver communication with senior management, business stakeholders and department management through presentations and reports on plans, performance, SLAs, KPIs and incidents related to network and network security

- Ensure that all shift positions are covered.
- Check and follow-up any pending issues.

- Shift duty manager supervises the flight watch personnel job, watch any overdue flight or missing movement log entries and ensure that all flights are in safe operations.

- Ensure adequate, required, updated manuals and publications are available in-flight dispatch shift area and are in good condition. Manuals distribution list is available and maintained.
