The role holder is responsible for supporting the Modernization Sales operations including negotiating new contracts, ensuring contract renewal and implementing unit recovery strategies to grow the market share of Otis. The role holder is also responsible to validate the terms and conditions are met during implementation by the operation team. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.
Core Responsibilities:- Handle all MOD & off-portfolio BEX enquiries from end to end.
- Work under the guidance of the Manager – Service Sales to prepare the maintenance contracts, negotiate and finalize agreements with clients, based on established guidelines.
- Prepare estimates and issue quotations for additional repairs, upgrading of units and modernization.
- Liaise with clients to negotiate maintenance contract renewals, ensuring all potential client risks are addressed under the renewal terms.
- Develop a strong relationship with clients by regularly engaging with key contacts and understanding their needs.
- Customer visit and site survey
- RFQ/eLog to MOD Centre/factory
- Customer proposal preparation and submission
- Customer presentation and sales pursuance
- Sales negotiation (covering commercial, technical, contractual, project, etc.)
- Securing S-orders and BEX-orders
- Order processing (SCI, drawing initiation, technical confirmation, etc.)
- Sales coverage includes outstation
- Work on any tasks as assigned by Head of Department
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Sales or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with sales operations in a construction/engineering organization
- Possess good presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently

Customer Relationship Management:
• Proactively develops and creates customer relationships in his/her area of responsibility

The sales engineer is responsible for the commercial activities of Modernization & upgrades of existing material handling systems within the middle east area, as well as supporting the sales of repairs, spare parts and field services within the petrochemical, plastic, food and mineral sectors. Besides from focusing on Material Handling aftersales activities, the Sales engineer should support the new machine sales activities whenever needed. In this function the sales engineer reports to the Head of Sales within Coperion Middle East and will cooperate closely with the modernization department in Weingarten, Germany and Niderlenz, Switzerland.
Responsibility
General
- Maintain up to date knowledge of all pneumatic conveying products, feeding systems, and latest developments.
- Monitor the progress of all modernization projects with the respective departments to ensure on-time delivery and fulfilling of the required quality standards to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Review and analyze the customer requests with the relevant departments and perform site visits.
- Leading all technical clarifications for Modernization requests and projects
- Issue Cost estimation for Modernization projects with Margin and profit calculation
- Work closely with the Headquarter and local suppliers and service providers to issue Turnkey quotations
- Maintain and built-up customer relations and contacts related to (MH) service business and modernization.
- Technical support of spare part sales team to identify customer requirement
- Develop long-term strategy to enhance the sales of spare parts and service agreements
- Support customers on technical queries, trouble shooting and warranty claims.
- Participate to regional exhibitions and seminars in relation with the company products
- Implement active sales strategy and approach potential customers (Installed base).
- Prepare, submit, and discuss quotations for modernization projects.
- Support sales activities of other service business units (Feeding systems and Extrusion) if needed.
- Support sales activities of the headquarter for the sales if new systems if needed.
Education, Experience & Technical Skills / Knowledge
- Engineering Degree in process / chemical / mechanical or industrial engineering)
- 5 years of experience in design or sales or installation of pneumatic conveying systems
- Knowledge and deep understanding of material handling products and Bulk logistics.
- Previous experience involving customer direct contact and site visits is a must.
- Fluent in English language mandatory (written and spoken), knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
- Middle East experience, working abroad for several years is an advantage
- Strong verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to issue frequently customized ppt presentations
- Capability and ability to adapt to the local cultural environment
- Good knowledge of MS office (Excel and ppt) Tools, Knowledge of Navision is an advantage
- Knowledge of industrial safety procedures and regulations in the Oil&Gas industry
