Role Purpose

Responsible for providing technical and professional support to the various Units within the Investments Dept. in processing
investments transactions, onboarding External Fund Managements, compiling, and submitting investment reports and performing portfolio analytics work. The role will also involve advanced data analysis and customized report writing.

Additionally, the specialist professional is expected to assist with preparation, compilation and submission of periodic performance and risk reports to the Investment Committee/Management and Funds fiduciaries.

The role provides first level support for any relevant inquiries of various stakeholders and ensures that all related activities performed are in line with the regulatory and risk control framework.

Key Accountabilities
**Operations**:

- Work closely with the EFM Division and the Investment FM Section to perform onboarding activities of new Fund Managers including with the Global Custodians/Fund Administrator (GC/FA) and assist the EFMs with their onboarding requirements with the GC/FA.
- Assist in managing the relationships with Global Custodians and Fund Administrators including keeping updated risk and performance parameter in the FA systems, ensure updated and accurate data is provided on valuations, new transactions, new investments etc.
- In coordination with relevant Units, assist in all operational aspects relevant to the execution and implementation of investment transaction,
including setting assets on internal (Mysis) and external systems (GC/FA), and ensuring risk/compliance guidelines are correctly configured.
- Assist in system and data needs for the Investments Department.

***Compliance**:

- Carry out all KYC and AML compliance activities of the Investments Departments for all new investments and ongoing compliance with existing investments and GCs, transfer agents and EFMs in coordination with the Compliance Unit of the IsDB.
- Undertake in coordination with Compliance Unit all necessary activities to ensure tax compliance and optimize IsDB investment tax.

**Analytics**:

- Maintain updates portfolio in internal systems and produce periodic portfolio analytic reports.
- Contribute to the periodic portfolio analytics reports by providing market data, outlook, asset class specific developments etc.
- Monitor periodically the compliance of the investment policy with various policies and guidelines.

**Reporting**:

- Assist in preparation, compilation and submission of periodic risk, compliance, and performance reports for all Investment Department managed portfolios for the various Funds.
- Develop reporting templates including EWS analysis for all portfolios of the Investments Department.
- Coordinate various inputs to various annual reports, Investment
Management Committee, and other relevant internal committees (RMC, BED, GA etc.)
- Coordinate the preparation of the Department New Letter and various communication releases

**Valuation and NAV Validation**:

- Compile, validate and submit to FCD and Fund Administrator the valuations of all non-marketable/private assets including the Net Asset Values (NAV) of private funds, the value of direct equity portfolio on a regular basis and ensure that the values are updated according to relevant policies and guidelines to ensure timely and up to date valuations are used in the Funds accounting records and facilitate the compilation of accurate compliance, risk, and performance reports.
- Assist in validating the Funds NAVs for the managed Funds including NAVs reconciliation between the GCs and EFMs.

Education, Certification and Experience
**Academic and Professional Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Economics/ Finance/ Investments or related quantitative discipline.
- Holding CAIAA/CFA/FRM certificates can be considered as an equivalent to master’s degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Asset Management/ Investment Banking.

  19. Support other departments with treasury-related data.
  20. Prepare monthly treasury accruals.
  21. Update and manage authorized signatories in line with organizational changes.
  22. Respond to government and external auditor inquiries.
  23. Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and safety procedures.
  24. Manage requirements related to cash sweep operations.
  25. Support hedging strategy evaluation and arrangements.
  26. Ensure timely payments of withholding tax, GOSI, and other government dues.
  27. Process SADAD payments promptly.
  28. Perform any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager.

Skills

Education & Qualifications:

  • Required: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Preferred: Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA)
