**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for a highly experienced **Design Interface Manager - Wet Utilities** to oversee the integration and coordination of wet utility systems across all design and construction phases of a major airfield development project.
This role is critical to managing design interfaces between infrastructure disciplines (potable water, firefighting, stormwater, sewage, irrigation) and ensuring seamless coordination with design consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have 15 years of experience in wet utilities design and interface management, preferably on large-scale aviation, transportation, or urban infrastructure projects.
**What You'll Be Doing;**
+ Lead and manage all design interface activities related to wet utilities, ensuring alignment across disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, environmental, etc.).
+ Serve as the primary point of contact between design consultants, contractors, and client teams for all wet utility systems.
+ Identify and resolve design conflicts, interface issues, and spatial coordination challenges.
+ Review and approve wet utility designs (water supply, wastewater, stormwater, firewater, irrigation) for compliance with project specifications, local codes, and international standards.
+ Oversee clash detection and resolution using BIM and other digital tools.
+ Ensure that hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, layouts, and utility corridors are technically sound and constructible.
+ Coordinate closely with local authorities and utility service providers to secure design NOCs, permits, and approvals.
+ Ensure wet utility systems are designed in compliance with airport authority requirements and environmental standards.
+ Support design change management, risk identification, and mitigation strategies for interface issues.
+ Monitor design progress, identify critical interface risks, and support schedule integration with construction teams.
+ Facilitate design workshops, interface coordination meetings, and technical reviews with multidisciplinary teams.
+ Provide expert input to construction sequencing, utility phasing, and commissioning plans.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
+ Minimum 15 years of experience in wet utility design and interface management, with at least 5 years in a coordination or management role.
+ Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects involving complex utility interfaces.
+ Strong knowledge of wet utility systems (potable water, stormwater, sewerage, firefighting, irrigation) and relevant design codes.
+ Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and interface management tools; familiarity with BIM and Navisworks is highly preferred.
+ Understanding of hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS).
+ Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
+ Experience with multidisciplinary teams and complex approval processes.
+ Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng, PE) or equivalent is highly desirable.
+ Experience with airport/airfield utility design standards (ICAO, FAA, NFPA).
+ Knowledge of sustainable water infrastructure and low-impact design (LID) principles.
+ Experience coordinating with governmental and municipal utility authorities in the region.
+ Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

**Job Description:**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Design Interface Manager** - **Roads & Tunnels** to join our team on **King Salman International Airport (KSIA)** ! In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the design aspects of road and tunnel projects, ensuring seamless integration between various design disciplines and stakeholders. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, project management skills, and the ability to manage complex interfaces.
**What You'll Be Doing;**
+ Coordinate and manage design interfaces between roads, tunnels, and other infrastructure components.
+ Lead and manage all design interface activities between engineering disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, architectural, etc.) and external stakeholders.
+ Ensure design consistency and alignment across all project components, identifying and resolving interface conflicts early in the design phase.
+ Act as the primary liaison between design consultants, contractors, and client technical teams.
+ Oversee the development of coordinated design deliverables across all packages and disciplines.
+ Ensure that the design complies with project requirements, codes, standards, and best practices.
+ Review and validate interface documents such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Matrices, and integration drawings.
+ Engage with external stakeholders, utility agencies, authorities, and client representatives to ensure seamless integration of their requirements into the design.
+ Facilitate interface coordination meetings and ensure resolution of technical issues and conflicting requirements.
+ Coordinate inputs and responses from design teams to stakeholder reviews and feedback.
+ Lead design review processes to validate the interface points and compatibility of adjacent design scopes.
+ Ensure timely submission, review, and approval of design deliverables in accordance with the project schedule.
+ Monitor the implementation of interface agreements and follow up on outstanding issues until resolution.
+ Identify potential design interface risks and conflicts during early project stages.
+ Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address interface risks that may affect project schedule or quality.
+ Monitor and update the Interface Risk Register in collaboration with project controls and risk teams.
+ Prepare regular interface status reports and interface resolution dashboards for senior management and project stakeholders.
+ Maintain accurate and updated interface documentation, logs, and communication records.
+ Ensure compliance with internal and client documentation and quality control procedures.
+ Collaborate with the construction team to ensure design interfaces are constructible and sequenced logically.
+ Support procurement by ensuring interface requirements are properly captured in tender and contract documents.
+ Coordinate resolution of design changes during construction that affect interfaces.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring;**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred.
+ 10 years of experience in design coordination, interface management, or design management within large-scale infrastructure projects.
+ Strong background in managing multi-disciplinary interfaces, especially in projects involving complex stakeholder ecosystems.
+ Proven experience working with consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
+ Strong knowledge of infrastructure project design and construction workflows.
+ Deep understanding of interface management tools and best practices.
+ Familiarity with international codes and standards (e.g., BS, AASHTO, Eurocodes).
+ Proficient in design coordination software such as Navisworks, BIM platforms, and document management systems (e.g., Aconex, ProjectWise).
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.
+ PMP or equivalent project management certification.
+ Experience working on mega infrastructure projects (rail, metro, highways, airports, or utility corridors).
+ Knowledge of FIDIC or similar contract standards.

We are hiring a UX designer for our Design System Team.
You will play a key role making open source software available to the world. Our Design function ensures the experience of the software and infrastructure we build is true to our intentions, and delivers the tools our community and customers need. The Design System UX designer makes that possible by defining, evolving and advocating for a consistent use of design system that scales across our products.
This role sits in the design system team reporting to Design Systems Management
Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
The role entails
- Building and evolving Canonical's design system, ensuring measurable adoption, consistency, scalability and accessibility across our products
- Collaborating with designers, engineers and stakeholders to translate user needs and brand principles into reusable components, patterns and guidelines
- Championing design system best practices, advocating for cohesive user experience and design, providing documentation and support for cross-functional teams
- Designing and documenting UI components, design tokens and interaction patterns
- Ensuring timely and efficient delivery of the roadmap
- Enabling alignment on design system usage and governance across teams
- Advocating for accessibility, performance, and scalability in design system decisions and iterating based on data and technological advancements
- Staying ahead of industry trends, ensuring innovation and balancing it with system coherence and performance
- Relevant experience in UX/product design, with a strong focus on design systems in complex environments
- A portfolio demonstrating strong expertise in design systems, including component libraries, documentation and handling complex environments
- Exceptional educational achievements in design or related behavioral science discipline
- Expertise in Figma, Storybook and design token workflows
- Experience of collaborating with engineers and bridging design and code
- Proven ability to apply design process and clearly communicate and document design decisions
- Excellent attention to detail and systemic approach to solving complex design challenges
- Commitment to transparent project delivery and owning team deadlines
- A passion for balancing consistency and innovation
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events
