We are seeking an Intellectual Property Attorney to join our Intellectual Property Law Department (IPLD) within Aramco's Law Organization.

IPLD are responsible for Company-wide legal support for all IP-related matters, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, IP-related agreements, as well as IP education and counseling.

Your primary role will be to perform or direct the performance of legal activities within the department and assist the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and General Attorneys in providing world class legal services to Aramco and its partners and affiliates. You will work closely with internal clients and inventors in support of the company's various technologies and scientific disciplines.

As the successful candidate you will be responsible to perform the following:

• Manage outside counsel in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications.
• Patent portfolio management.
• Counsel clients.
• Provide IP education to clients on various IP-related topics.
• Provide legal advice in the areas of patent portfolio strategies.
• Draft and negotiate research and development agreements and IP licenses.

As a successful candidate you will have:

• A Bachelor degree in Law.
• A minimum of 10 years experience working for a law firm or major corporation, of which a minimum of years must be as in-house counsel.
• You must have experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
• You should have a chemicals or petrochemical background.
• You should be able to demonstrate familiarity with the Patent Cooperation Treaty and other foreign prosecution authorities.
• You should have experience with other areas of intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.
• You should also have experience drafting and negotiating IP agreements, including research collaboration and IP license agreements. Oil or chemical industry experience is a plus.
• You must have a recognized law degree and be admitted to practice.
• An undergraduate degree in Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering is strongly preferred but not required.

Job Purpose: As a Legal and Intellectual Property Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, protecting intellectual property, and mitigating legal risks. Legal Compliance:

Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws and regulations relevant to the esports industry

Stay abreast of legal developments and changes that may impact the organization's operations

Contract Negotiations:

Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including sponsorship agreements, licensing agreements, player contracts, and other legal documents

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contracts align with business objectives and legal requirements

Intellectual Property Management:

Develop and implement strategies for protecting the organization's intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.

Conduct intellectual property searches and assessments to ensure compliance and avoid infringement

Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation if necessary

Collaborate with external legal counsel when needed, ensuring effective representation of the organization's interests

Regulatory Compliance:

Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to gaming and esports regulations in Saudi Arabia

Provide guidance on regulatory changes and potential impacts on EWCF

Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities and propose strategies to mitigate such risks

5+ proven international experience in Legal and Intellectual Property roles, particularly in the esports or entertainment industry

University degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field; specialization in intellectual property law is a plus. Professional certifications are highly desirable

In-depth knowledge of internationally most common legal frameworks and regulatory requirements, Saudi Arabian frameworks and regulatory requirements is nice to have

Strong understanding of international intellectual property laws, contracts, and regulatory compliance

Experience in managing external law firms

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal counsel and risk management guidance

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
