Specific Responsibilities:
- The employee shall have a comprehensive understanding of the Saudi Building Codes, MOMRA regulations, Saudi Highway Codes SHC, SEC and NWC standards and other applicable standards and codes related to infrastructure works, including roads, potable water, wastewater, storm water, irrigation system and utilities.
- The employee responsible for reviewing and evaluating master plan and sitewide drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, and other relevant documents to verify compliance with applicable local codes and international standards and project requirements.
- The employee shall demonstrate expertise in the design and construction supervision of infrastructure systems, gained through experience on large-scale and complex projects.
- The employee is required to have full knowledge and details of the scope and the requirements of the Works relevant to his discipline, for which he is required to supervise and review, ensuring that the Works schedule is adhered to and comply with the Project Documents.
- The employee shall have a comprehensive understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management principles, as well as applicable codes and standards, including MOMRA, SBC, and international guidelines.
- The employee shall review drainage models, stormwater management plans, and design calculations using industry-standard tools (e.g., HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM).
- The employee shall lead design review of technical design development for major infrastructure projects including transportation networks, utility systems, and infrastructure.
- The employee shall perform detailed verification of design calculations for infrastructure components and utility systems.
- The employee shall ensure all project deliverables comply with Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs (MOMRA) regulations and local municipality requirements, applying Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) specifications across all infrastructure projects.
- The employee shall review the design documents for MV and LV cable infrastructure (duct banks, manholes, cable routing, and jointing pits).
- The employee responsible to check the tie in points provided in coordination with master plan for potable water, TSE water, district cooling, drainage and storm water system as per NWC standards.
- The employee responsible to review the potable water distribution networks design in accordance with Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture standards.
- The employee responsible for ensuring that the sewerage system development, including collection networks, pumping stations, and treatment facilities, complies fully with applicable codes and regulatory standards.
- The employee shall review roadway system designs to ensure compliance with Saudi traffic design guidelines and safety standards.
- The employee shall review, approve, in consultation with the direct manager and highlight any discrepancies, non-workable and/or missing details relevant to his discipline in a timely manner.
- The employee shall proactively resolve potential issues in quality, compliance, and design relevant.
- The employee should report to the direct manager about any gaps, inadequacies, or errors in the design documents that are non-conforming with the local and applicable international regulations.
- Prepare compliance reports, trackers, and checklists for assigned infrastructure-related projects, and support the development and ongoing enhancement of internal review checklists, guidelines and procedures.
- Support permitting processes by reviewing documentation for regulatory compliance and providing technical input as needed.
- The employee will facilitate technical meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder coordination sessions, while collaborating with design consultants and internal teams to ensure that design submissions are complete, accurate, and constructible.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or more in Civil Engineering (Preferred), or a related field. Masters degree will be an advantage.
- At least 10-12 years of experience in infrastructure mechanical system design review.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering systems, technologies, principles, codes and practices.
