We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support, enhance, and expand our automation platform. The ideal candidate combines deep automation expertise with a broad understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, virtualization, networks, firewalls, load balancers, storage, and databases). A strong focus on system integration and API-driven automation is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities- Support and enhance the on-premise self-service IaaS Cloud and automation marketplace.
- Design, implement, and maintain automation blueprints integrating compute, storage, network, security, and database services.
- Develop and optimize workflows with API integrations (IPAM, firewalls, load balancers, storage controllers, monitoring, etc.).
- Automate full-stack deployments including:
- VM provisioning, OS configuration, and network setup.
- Automated Windows clustering and SQL Server Always-On deployments.
- Marketplace-driven software installation and service onboarding.
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code solutions using Python, Ansible, and PowerShell .
- Extend and optimize Nutanix CALM automation blueprints and Prism APIs/interfaces.
- Collaborate with architecture, operations, and cybersecurity teams to deliver secure, compliant, and reliable services.
- Troubleshoot, refine, and improve automation reliability, scalability, and integration coverage.
- Document workflows and provide knowledge transfer/mentorship to team members.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and automation.
- Strong expertise in automation frameworks: Python, PowerShell, Ansible .
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms : Nutanix AHV, VMware, or similar.
- OS expertise: Windows Server, Red Hat Linux .
- Solid understanding of IT-infrastructure components:
- Servers & Virtualization (compute clusters, hypervisors).
- Networking (switches, routers, load balancers, firewalls, IPAM).
- Storage (SAN, NAS, NFS, SMB, S3).
- Databases (Microsoft SQL clustering & HA concepts).
- Experience with infrastructure system integration and API-based automation (REST, SOAP, SDKs).
- Strong grasp of infrastructure-as-code principles and DevOps practices .
- Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP) or similar certification.

Working on both projects and bid proposals, the Automation Engineer is responsible for the execution of automation systems, or parts thereof. The Automation Engineer is responsible for:
