**Job Description**:

- Regional Technical Support such as moves, server’s administration, advanced troubleshooting, global and regional project implementation.
- Improve productivity and effectiveness - using tools, best practice and innovation - be the point of contact for improvement in tools, systems and solutions
- Provide training for new Branch IS personnel.
- Assist Regional IS Manager with setting IS goals and objectives
- Effectively communicate to employees, branch management and where necessary, clients, the capabilities and benefits of systems and tools within our IT environment
- After-hours IS support when needed such as Server replacements and other critical IS tasks at the region’s branches
- Responsible for adhering to
- and following Corporate policies toward data backup and data protection are in effect at all branches in the region
- Assist Regional IS in policing bandwidth optimization strategies
- Implementation and maintenance of Asset Management and cost control through involvement with local branch budgeting, purchasing, depreciation monitoring and maintenance of hardware support contracts
- Regular and timely communication with the Regional IS Manager
- Offer suggestions and escalate up to the Regional IS Manager any innovations and ideas that can offer improvements in systems and productivity
- Understand and execute against the tactical business plan for the IS team
- Support branch disaster recovery efforts as they occur
- Advisory role for branch hardware and software acquisitions.
- Provide technical assistance, advice and suggestions to clients where needed.
- Be supportive and actively participate in Sales calls where needed and appropriate
- Help to increase branch productivity by identifying processes that could be improved or automated and by developing an approved solution for them.

**Qualifications**:
**Knowledge**:

- Global Logistics industry knowledge including latest technologies and industry trends
- Good understanding of Expeditors operations, logistics, and business
- Have a fundamental understanding of Expeditors operational systems, including ETMS AND EDMS
- Advanced understanding of Windows Server (e.g., Active Directory, Remote Administration), Unix Systems
- Advanced Microsoft Scripting knowledge (e.g., VBA, PowerShell, Command Line Scripting)
- Adequate EDI knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of networking concepts

**Skills**:

- Advanced PC troubleshooting, maintenance and deployment skills
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and customer service skills
