to lead planning and scheduling efforts on one of our flagship infrastructure or energy projects. This role is key to ensuring timely, efficient, and contract-compliant project execution through robust scheduling and controls.
What You'll Do:
- Lead development of the Level 3 Baseline Schedule and project control procedures in coordination with the PEOS team.
- Analyze and implement project planning and reporting obligations under PPA and EPC contracts.
- Track critical path activities and set key milestones and KPIs for early risk identification and mitigation.
- Support EPC Contractor in building and maintaining Level 4 schedules and detailed progress registers.
- Review and comment on EPC Contractor's monthly progress reports with a focus on contractual risks and timeline impacts.
- Prepare monthly reports and presentations for the Offtaker, ACWA Power leadership, lenders, and stakeholders.
- Drive or support delay analysis and EOT claim preparation, when required.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (PMP or CAPM is a plus).
- 12–15+ years of experience in project planning/scheduling, with at least 4 full-cycle projects as Planning Manager.
- Advanced proficiency in
Primavera P6
. - Strong understanding of construction methodologies and contract-driven planning.

Evaluate power system customer service requests and provide technical recommendation. Conduct techno-commercial evaluation as per request to Marafiq stakeholders. Develop the scouting and feasibility studies and monitor the project life cycle as per Marafiq PES procedure. - Conduct studies and review proposals relating to upgradation of power system facilities' and building new installations with respect to cost feasibility, system reliability etc. and submit to Superintendent for approval and further handling.
- Coordinate with external consultants engaged for system studies and analysis.
- For Developed Areas: Coordinate with Demand Forecast Department and contribute information / data based on new and anticipated customers to develop an annual plan for inclusion in the Master Plan (5 & 15 years) and update it regularly.
- For Undeveloped Areas: Coordinate with Royal Commission and review the plans for new proposed area.
- Develop and maintain a database of existing power system facilities, capacities and optimal utilization benchmarks.
- Ensure an up-to-date database of existing power system facilities, capacities and optimal utilization benchmarks.
- Ensure system loading are analyzed develop an optimal loading plan to increase the utilization factor of Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution (GTD) facilities.
- Study and analyze power system loading to determine peak and low values versus the utilization factor and recommend how to relieve peak loads and optimally load low loaded equipment.
- Prepare Project premises for blanket contracts and coordinate the release of the delivery order.
- Coordinate with Customer Experience department to process the utility request for Power Service. Conduct feasibility studies, identify connection point, develop conceptual design for connecting to Marafiq system and process the UAR for approval, as per SERA regulations.
- Coordinate with the RC, Yanbu for the development of electrical infrastructure for the new development areas.
- For Residential Lots, Coordinate with developer for preparation of conceptual design of the utility infrastructure within boundaries of the proposed lot.
- Recommend improvements to departmental procedure and direct the implementation of instructions and controls covering a specific area of Planning for power system so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of power system to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Capex Evaluation:
- Complete project documentations and deliverables as per PES procedures and prepare gate deliverables (Gate-1 and Gate-2) in collaboration with assigned team.
- Develop scouting and feasibility studies as part of the overall project Gating system.
- Study all project strategic options and validate the recommended technology selection for new infrastructure projects and other CAPEX from BUs.
- Review the techno-commercial evaluation of the selected strategic options based on benchmarks cost for each of the technology option.
- Ensure that the project opportunity is clearly defined and specify the key priorities based on information available.
- Identify any lesson learned, strengths and weaknesses from the current stage work and deliverables involving all relevant stakeholders.
- Lead the committee/team nominated from all concerned departments to review and prepare the CAPEX deliverables and validate project segmentation decisions during scouting and feasibility.
- Review the preliminary design and SOW for projects from project planning perspectives.
- Estimate the budgetary cost in cooperation with the Project Engineering to ensure accurate estimation (up to +/- 40%) prior to seeking the finance department mandatory approval.
- Conduct a techno-commercial evaluation of Capex proposals and submit to Management for direction.

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator for Planning to support the successful execution of projects within our ambitious development initiatives. The Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with project managers and teams, assisting in the planning, monitoring, and reporting of project activities, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s strategic goals. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
- Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, documenting meeting minutes, action items, and follow-ups.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential issues or delays, and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Support project managers in resource allocation and logistics planning, contributing to overall project efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of project reports, updates, and presentations for stakeholders and management.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure that all project records are up to date and easily accessible.
- Help in tracking expenses and ensuring that project budgets are adhered to, preparing variance reports as needed.
- Work collaboratively with various teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the implementation of project management best practices and standardized processes within the organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination or administration, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.
- Familiarity with procurement and contract management processes is a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development: Develop detailed project master schedules, milestone schedules, and resource-loaded schedules based on project contracts, scope statements, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Schedule Control: Monitor project actual progress, perform variance analysis against the baseline schedule, identify deviations and risks, and propose early warnings and corrective actions promptly.
Progress Update & Reporting: Regularly collect project progress data, update schedules, and prepare project progress reports (e.g., Gantt charts, S-Curves, Milestone charts) for Project Manager and management reporting.
Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with various functions (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning) to ensure the accuracy and consistency of scheduling information.
Change Management: Evaluate the impact of project changes (e.g., client change requests, scope changes) on the overall project schedule and provide analysis.
Risk Management: Participate in project risk identification and analysis, assessing the potential impact of risks on the project schedule.
Meeting Support: Prepare materials for project schedule meetings and participate in project coordination meetings to report project status.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Certification:
* Bachelor's degree or above in Engineering Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related fields is a strong plus.
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, IPMA) is a strong plus.
- Technical Skills:
* Software Proficiency: Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera P6. Knowledge of Oracle Primavera Unifier is a plus.
* Project Management Knowledge: Solid knowledge of project management techniques such as Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM).
* Industry Knowledge: Understanding of fundamental engineering and construction processes and industry standards.
* Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data processing, charting, and reporting.
