Responsibilities
- Oversee Day-to-Day Operations of all environmental services —including housekeeping, pest control, laundry, waste management, landscaping, and furniture—ensuring seamless, uninterrupted service delivery across all hospital shifts and clusters.
- Execute Cluster-Wide Service Plans by translating strategic objectives into operational programs , zone-based workflows, cleaning cycles, and execution schedules that meet patient safety, infection control, and hospital hygiene standards.
- Develop and Enforce Manpower Plans through the creation of shift rosters, contingency staffing, and role-based task allocation that ensures coverage in high-risk and critical care areas such as ORs, ICUs, and L&D suites.
- Ensure Operational Readiness of Assets by overseeing the daily inspection and functionality of tools, laundry systems, pest control kits, chemical supplies, and transportation equipment, with preventive maintenance schedules logged.
- Monitor Service Quality in Real Time through daily audits, zone inspections, staff performance checks, and CAFM dashboard reviews, enabling immediate corrective action and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Lead CAFM Implementation & Tracking by ensuring full digital logging of PPM tasks, ad hoc work requests, emergency responses, and SLA records—backed by time-stamped reports and service closeouts.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Operations with Nursing, Engineering, Infection Control, and Projects to ensure soft service support during hospital events, renovations, environmental disruptions, or emergency incidents.
- Oversee Waste Stream & Hazard Management , ensuring proper waste segregation, handling of infection-risk materials, and disposal in line with MOH and SFDA protocols across all departments, including pharmaceutical and sharps waste.
- Direct Laundry & Linen Operations by managing clean/soiled flows, isolation linen protocols, inventory distribution, and turnaround time to meet patient throughput and infection control standards.
- Manage Furniture Assets Operationally , including allocation, repair, safe relocation, and condition monitoring across patient rooms, offices, and waiting areas—ensuring functionality and visual quality.
- Handle Vendor Operations & Site Supervision by executing contracts, monitoring contractor staff attendance, validating KPI-linked payments, and addressing daily operational gaps or emergencies on the ground.
- Lead Emergency Response Mobilization for floods, outbreaks, pest infestations, or environmental hazards—deploying PPE, trained teams, chemicals, and coordinating with Infection Control for containment.
- Support Operational Budget Execution by managing daily resource expenditures, tracking inventory usage, reviewing contractor invoices, and aligning all spend to service-level KPIs and cluster budgets.
- Generate Operational Dashboards & Reports for leadership , summarizing performance metrics, manpower utilization, infection control support, incident response, CAFM ticketing, and risk alerts.
- Develop Regulatory Notices and Occupant Letters for environmental works, ensuring proper communication with contractors, internal stakeholders, and government authorities as required by law.
- Coordinate Environmental Requirements for Construction Projects , ensuring infection control compliance, environmental zoning, and soft service integration into renovation timelines and BOQ reviews.
- Facilitate Utility Management System Integration , ensuring that soft services equipment and workflows are aligned with broader hospital asset management and energy/utilities planning frameworks.
- Develop KPIs and Operational Indicators for each function , oversee performance data collection, and lead analysis to assess outcomes, identify inefficiencies, and guide decision-making across clusters.

PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Infection Control Practitioner (ICP) is responsible for implementing and overseeing infection control activities across all Diaverum clinics under the direction of the Infection Control Specialist. This role ensures continuous surveillance of clinic and laboratory data to identify and monitor healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and potential outbreaks.
Key responsibilities include investigating disease outbreaks, maintaining accurate infection control records, and ensuring compliance with infection prevention policies. The ICP plays a vital role in staff education by developing and delivering infection control training programs, including orientation for new employees. KEY RESULT AREAS
- Assume responsibility for the coordination of activities related to Infection Control as directed by Infection Control Specialist
- Assume responsibility in conjunction with the Infection Control Specialist, for the planning and implementation of Infection Control programs for the clinics in keeping with established standards of the clinics and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare organizations.

- Communicate and fill up any format related to infection control requested by MOH.
- Interacts with physicians, nurses, department managers occupational health, and other professional/non-professional staff members to provide resource information, resolve infection control problems, and identify new opportunities to improve service and reduce costs.
- Regular meetings with all clinic HNs and MDs to evaluate, improve, and solve infection issues, including root cause analysis and corrective action plans, are reported to the Head of Infection Control.
- Follow up pre-employment health screening of the staff in the clinic.
- Following up on staff and patients' serology and vaccination.
- Prepare a comprehensive quarterly report of infections in the clinic and highlight the incidence and prevalence of infections and benchmark between clinics.
- Conduct regular infection control audits to assess compliance and implement necessary improvements as needed.
- Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Medical Sciences or Public Health, or any related field
- Must have completed special coursework in epidemiology, infection control or related coursework in the area of expertise
- A recognized Professional Nursing Licensure from the country of origin
- A Certificate Board in Infection Control is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years continuous working experience in Nursing preferred in dialysis of which at least 2 Years of recent direct experience in Infection Control in an acute care setting or related facility is necessary
- For Non nurses; favorable to have 2 years of recent experience in Infection Control in an acute care setting or related facility
- Demonstrated ability to lead infection prevention programs and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Languages:
Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written)
IT Skills:
Computer operating experience and MS Office skills are required
