In this role you will get to be an active part of the RC's Infrastructure Planning Team and will Report directly to the PTS Supervisor - Infrastructure Planning and provides technical and general guidance to the Section.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Supports the Section PTS Supervisor to meet the development program requirements.

  • Reviews and Manages the Wet Utilities Models prepared by the AE Consultant to ensure that these "baseline Models' comply with all required Codes and Standards and the project targets.

  • Prepares additional hydraulic models, as necessary, for wet utilities utilizing WaterGEMS and Sewer GEMS to support the Baseline Models.

  • Accepts proposals from Stakeholders. and other parties to connect to the existing systems and runs analysis on the baseline models to determine the ability of these systems to accommodate these proposed connections.

  • In coordination with the utility service provider and the O&M Division, provide regular update to the utilities master plan and report to the PTS Supervisor on ongoing issues with the Masterplan Development in respect of Wet Utilities capacities and any necessary required upgrades.

  • Coordinates the Section's activities with those of other Sections within the Engineering Department, in particular supporting TSS within its review of design submissions made by AE Consultants.

  • Provides technical guidance of personnel within the Section.

  • Represents the Section at project and inter-sectional meetings, as directed by the PTS Supervisor.

  • Conducts regular review sessions with Utilities Stakeholders to determine projects that are likely to affect the capacity of the Wet Utilities Systems.

  • Prepares technical reports, specifications and scope of work descriptions.

  • Prepares/Reviews Request for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts.

  • Provides technical assistance during pre-bid conferences, proposal evaluations, and post-award or other contract conferences.

25. Continuously assess and improve HVAC, water, and fire system processes to ensure alignment with global industry standards and DACO’s operational requirements.

26. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback, promoting collaboration, and implementing new ideas for optimizing the management and performance of mechanical systems.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum of 12 years of total experience in managing mechanical systems (HVAC, water, and fire systems), with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale infrastructure.

JOB PURPOSE :

Lincoln College International (LCI) is seeking a specialist trainer with expertise Mechanical Systems, with a focus on material testing including destructive and non-destructive testing methods, surface preparation, finishing and material processing, quality assurance and quality control and advanced manufacturing processes, including industrial additive manufacturing. The successful candidate will prepare, deliver, and assess training supporting the progression of trainees into specialist roles within the industry. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, candidates will be required to undergo enhanced background security checks as part of the recruitment process. Good competency in English is mandatory. Non-native candidates must provide proof of English competency through IELTS, TOEFL, STEP, or a similar language exam. An offer of employment will be made subject to final approval from the client .

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Training & Course Delivery

Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical training in a range of modules, including :

Material testing, heat treatment and evaluation

Destructive and Non-Destructive Testing

QA / QC in Manufacturing and MRO

Industrial additive manufacturing techniques including SLM, EBM, DMLS and CFRP.

Advanced Manufacturing techniques including Water jet cutting, fiber laser cutting, shot blasting and CNC machining

Process monitoring, Precision manufacturing and DFA / DFM / Root cause analysis / FMEA Principles

Design and implement engaging, hands-on lessons, workshops, and assessments that align with industry standards and best practices.

Ensure training is industry-focused, with a strong emphasis on real-world applications and technical competencies.

Assess trainees’ practical and theoretical understanding, providing structured feedback to support learning and skill development.

Maintain high teaching and learning quality standards through peer reviews and lesson observations.

Actively engage and motivate trainees, fostering technical excellence and professional behaviour.

Course & Program Development

Manage course content and success rates, ensuring effective learning outcomes.

Develop and refine training materials to align with industry advancements and regulatory requirements.

Contribute to developing and enhancing LCI’s training programs, ensuring they remain at the cutting edge of technology and best practices.

Quality Assurance & Assessment

Conduct assessments and internal verification and maintain documentation in compliance with LCI policies.

Ensure the safety, functionality, and upkeep of training equipment, tools, and lab facilities.

Trainee Engagement & Support

Organize enrichment activities, including industry visits, guest lectures, and hands-on projects.

Support the selection, recruitment, and enrollment of trainees into LCI programs.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and career support to trainees, ensuring their success in the program and progression into employment.

Promote equal opportunities, safeguarding, and welfare within the training environment.

Collaboration & Professional Development

Work as part of a flexible training team, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.

Stay updated with industry and pedagogical advancements through continuous professional development and training.

Undertake such other duties commensurate with the level of the post as may be required from time to time.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS :

  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in mechanical systems, material testing, industrial additive manufacturing, ideally within a manufacturing or defense setting.
  • Minimum of Diploma (or equivalent) in Mechanical Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Production Technology or a related field. Or a recognized professional certification in a related field, for example :

Certified Composites Technician (CCT) – American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA).

PCN Level II, or III (BINDT) / ASNT Level II, or III

  • Excellent communication skills and motivation to engage and inspire trainees (A CEFR B1 ability in English is required).
  • Enhanced security clearance will be required.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in one or more of the following : Failure analysis and metallographic techniques / Advanced NDT techniques (PAUT, TOFD, Computed Tomography) / Process validation for industrial additive manufacturing / DFA / DFM and process efficiency improvements.
  • Prior teaching or training experience in a technical or vocational setting.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Experience with use of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.
  • Experience with assessing and internal verification.
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA) experience or an assessor qualification such as CAVA (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) or TAQA.
  • Industry-recognized certifications, such as :

Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher).

Project Management certification such as PMP or PRINCE 2 practitioner.

Continues Professional Development

  • Candidates without a formal teaching qualification will be expected to complete a Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (supported by LCI) within six months of starting. Additionally, opportunities for further professional development and industry certification will be provided. Those meeting the minimum educational qualifications but lacking work experience may be considered for the Saudi Junior Teacher Development Program.
