  • Personally responsible for own safety and conducting one's self to the standards of Sanad Policies and Procedures
  • Coordinate with the Rig Manager and Area QHSE involving QHSE concerns.
  • Consult, advise and direct Drilling Operations in matters relating to QHSE.
  • Liaison with Operator in regard to QHSE matters
  • Maintaining internal and external reporting according to established systems
  • Consultation with outside experts on QHSE matters when required.
  • Participation in, and coordination of, rig HSE meetings
  • Participate in Regulatory, Operator and Internal QHSE audits.
  • Participation in local HSE groups, to include operators, government and other drilling contractors.
  • Responsible for adherence to company guidelines
  • Ensure rig complies with Sanad requirements.
  • Maintaining and updating Rig evacuation plans, procedures and measures
  • Provide information to Management on accidents/incidents in a timely manner according to established NDIL and Operator procedures.
  • Monitor compliance against the monthly HSE schedule
  • Coordinate with the Rig Manager concerning the implementation of the Rig Management System on-site and the ongoing instructions to all personnel in it’s use.
  • Oversee implementation of SMART program on rig-site
  • Monitor/chair/participate in regularly scheduled HSE meetings held at rigs and camps.
  • Oversee implementation of operational systems and procedures to include but not be limited to: Permit to Work System, Lock-Out/Tag-Out System, Hazardous Chemical -MSDS, PPE System, HLO, H2S Awareness, Benchmarking, NOWA and other required training activities.
  • Monitor readiness/response to emergency situations through regularly held and documented drills
  • Execution/Reviewing/Monitoring of required QHSE inspection for rigs and camps, reporting findings to the Rig Manager
  • Maintenance of the Corrective Action Register for non-compliance items arising from meetings and inspections
  • Maintenance of the Lifting & Slings Registers and Inspection Program for rigs in area
  • Monitor compliance with Travel/Journey Management System where applicable

  1. Report directly to the HSE Supervisor/HSE Engineer/Site HSE Manager and provide full assistance to Site HSE Team as well as the Project Manager.
  2. Monitor the health and safety hazards as well as the safety performance of all on-site workers to ensure that all workers on the site work safely.
  3. Encourage employees to take precautions and adhere to safety rules to protect themselves and the equipment they use.
  4. Report all injuries, accidents / incidents, near misses and any hazard cases occurred in the workplace and update the report in safety portal on time.
  5. Report immediately to HSE Supervisor and to the Project Management, SHADE’s employees and subcontractors any existing potential hazards at the workplace.
  6. Ensure safety reports and data are collected, uploaded in the safety portal and submitted to the supervisor in due time as required:

  8. b. Copy of accident / incident reports
  9. c. Description of any unsafe conditions discovered and steps taken to correct those conditions
  10. d. Copy of inspection reports on equipment, tools, and others as required

  12. f. Copy of audit reports and action taken
  13. Ensure MSDS of all controlled hazardous products on site are up-to-date and available to all workers at all times.
  14. Ensure daily risk assessments are being conducted by all Foremen and Supervisors as per SHADE’s Safety Policy and Procedure.
  15. Maintain a professional level of contact with Clients, Subcontractors, and other relevant project parties and representatives at site.
  16. Attend all applicable health, safety, and environmental meetings as requested by the HSE Supervisor, HSE Manager.
  17. Ensure that adequate Fire Fighting Equipment are provided and properly maintained.
  18. Ensure that First Aider with complete First Aid Kit and Facilities are available in all areas in the workplace all the time.
  19. Report & Stop or suspend any work activities at the site whenever risk of injury or the possibility of dangerous occurrences will take place.
  20. Display safety policies and pertinent information on the Company Bulletin Board.
  21. Report, monitor, update & maintain the records & data of the Safety Portal at all times.
  22. Attend periodic meetings: safety meetings; department meetings; as required by the HSE Department & SHADE.
  23. Escalate safety issues/concerns accordingly to the right person/the right channel using the right medium of communication such as email, mobile phones, and safety portal.
  24. Reports all safety concerns, issues, problems, deviations, findings, periodic audits, and other documents at the safety portal on time as required.
  25. Ensure proper follow-up and the closure of safety observations (DSSI, ATS, NCR) are done in a timely manner.
  26. Submission of safety reports; weekly, monthly to the HSE lead on a timely manner.

He/She will work closely with the HSE Manager to identify and assess potential hazards, develop safety protocols, and educate staff on safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support in the development and implementation of HSE 360 programs and policies.
  • Maintain and update HSE documentation and records.
  • Perform HSE inspections and hazard assessments of facilities and equipment.
  • Investigate and report HSE incidents and violations.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence positive change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
  • Provide administrative support to the health, Safety, and environment department.
  • Coordinate and ensure document management and data entry of HSE files under various information systems as part of the ISO 45001 certifications.
  • Regularly ensure updates are made to the HSE files.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor HSE activities.
  • Provide logistics and follow the schedules of HSE activities: training, internal and external audit, internal / external inspection, HSE Management Review, etc.
  • Update of HSE performance and compliance indicators.
  • Any other related tasks as required by management.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an HSE Specialist or similar role.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry (an important asset);
  • NEBOSH IGC certification
  • Saudi OSH certification
  • Mastering of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Is professional, resourceful, autonomous, and discreet.
  • Demonstrates an excellent team spirit and is task focused.
  • Capable of multitasking and handling several files at once while prioritizing them.
  • Demonstrates good judgement and a good sense of analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and capable of communicating effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Excellent English language both written and spoken.
