Responsibilities
- Report directly to the HSE Supervisor/HSE Engineer/Site HSE Manager and provide full assistance to Site HSE Team as well as the Project Manager.
- Monitor the health and safety hazards as well as the safety performance of all on-site workers to ensure that all workers on the site work safely.
- Encourage employees to take precautions and adhere to safety rules to protect themselves and the equipment they use.
- Report all injuries, accidents / incidents, near misses and any hazard cases occurred in the workplace and update the report in safety portal on time.
- Report immediately to HSE Supervisor and to the Project Management, SHADE’s employees and subcontractors any existing potential hazards at the workplace.
- Ensure safety reports and data are collected, uploaded in the safety portal and submitted to the supervisor in due time as required:
- a. Man Hours work and safety inspections
- b. Copy of accident / incident reports
- c. Description of any unsafe conditions discovered and steps taken to correct those conditions
- d. Copy of inspection reports on equipment, tools, and others as required
- e. Copy of safety inspection checklists or visit summary report
- f. Copy of audit reports and action taken
- Ensure MSDS of all controlled hazardous products on site are up-to-date and available to all workers at all times.
- Ensure daily risk assessments are being conducted by all Foremen and Supervisors as per SHADE’s Safety Policy and Procedure.
- Maintain a professional level of contact with Clients, Subcontractors, and other relevant project parties and representatives at site.
- Attend all applicable health, safety, and environmental meetings as requested by the HSE Supervisor, HSE Manager.
- Ensure that adequate Fire Fighting Equipment are provided and properly maintained.
- Ensure that First Aider with complete First Aid Kit and Facilities are available in all areas in the workplace all the time.
- Report & Stop or suspend any work activities at the site whenever risk of injury or the possibility of dangerous occurrences will take place.
- Display safety policies and pertinent information on the Company Bulletin Board.
- Report, monitor, update & maintain the records & data of the Safety Portal at all times.
- Attend periodic meetings: safety meetings; department meetings; as required by the HSE Department & SHADE.
- Escalate safety issues/concerns accordingly to the right person/the right channel using the right medium of communication such as email, mobile phones, and safety portal.
- Reports all safety concerns, issues, problems, deviations, findings, periodic audits, and other documents at the safety portal on time as required.
- Ensure proper follow-up and the closure of safety observations (DSSI, ATS, NCR) are done in a timely manner.
- Submission of safety reports; weekly, monthly to the HSE lead on a timely manner.
