The Role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ACTIVITIES General • Follow up on recruitment requests and ensure alignment with approved allocations. • Participate in sourcing suitable candidates for vacancies. • Prepare and participate in interviews with the recruitment committee. • Complete hiring procedures after required approvals and ensure data entry in the HR system. • Monitor performance evaluations of new employees during the probation period. • Receive feedback and reports from branch managers regarding employees. • Act as a point of contact with branch managers on issues related to vacancies, attendance, transfers, leaves, entitlements, penalties, incentives, staff housing, etc. • Follow up daily to obtain required documents from branches and provide necessary documents to branches. • Receive employee complaints and consult with management to take appropriate action. • Study and propose staff transfers between branches. • Ensure compliance with work discipline across departments and branches. • Review employee entitlements (leave allowance, settlements, etc.). • Enter monthly payroll variables in the HR system (new employees, leave, return from leave, resignations, work stoppage, deductions, advances, etc.). • Review labor entitlements from contracted companies before approval. • Contribute to implementing the “Employee of the Month” program. • Follow up on periodic performance evaluations. • Prepare external employee letters (work certificates, etc.) as per company procedures. • Perform any other tasks required by the management.

Requirements

  • Building a positive work environment for all IHG colleagues throughout their career with us – from onboarding, to training and promotions, through to exit
  • Leading, educating and training the wider team and General Manager on people issues and HR disciplines to enhance performance
  • Developing creative ways to inspire and motivate team members to provide our hotel guests with unique experiences
  • Overseeing day-to-day HR management, reporting and filing and identifying process areas for attention
  • Identifying and analysing the local market to ensure our own offering remains competitive
  • Enhancing our hotels’ reputation in the local community and beyond, and promoting team member involvement in the local community
  • Mitigate financial risks associated with employee relations issues
  • Identify and analyse local compensation and benefits practices to ensure financial competitiveness
  • Ensure hiring standards and applicable laws and regulations are followed
  • Create programmes to foster a positive work environment for all employees. Support and administer an annual team member satisfaction survey
  • Oversee maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees

What We need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree, higher education qualification or equivalent
  • Four years of related experience in HR – supervisory experience is also beneficial
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality to the extent possible in all HR-related matters

As a Human Resources Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the HR department's daily operations and initiatives. This position is responsible for providing administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth functioning of various HR functions.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate communication, and interview scheduling.
