Field Service Engineer (Healthcare IT)

Summary/Objective

As a Field Service Engineer in the Healthcare IT domain, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support and service to healthcare facilities. Your role will involve on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of healthcare IT systems, ensuring these critical systems operate smoothly and efficiently. You'll work closely with healthcare professionals to understand their IT needs, deliver customized solutions, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, all while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Provide on-site and remote technical support for healthcare IT systems, including electronic health records (EHR) systems, medical imaging software, and other healthcare IT infrastructure.

Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades on healthcare IT systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Lead or assist in the installation and configuration of healthcare IT systems and associated hardware, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure and customization to meet facility needs.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure that critical healthcare services are not interrupted.

Engage with healthcare professionals to understand their IT requirements, providing expert advice and solutions to enhance their workflows and improve patient care.

Deliver technical training and support to healthcare staff on using IT systems, developing user manuals, training materials, and other documentation to facilitate system use and troubleshooting.

Ensure that all work complies with healthcare regulations, particularly in terms of data privacy and security, maintaining detailed documentation of service activities, including maintenance records and issue resolutions.

Continuously evaluate service processes and procedures, suggesting and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in healthcare IT, applying this knowledge to improve service delivery and keep systems current.

Skills and Qualifications

Strong technical proficiency with healthcare IT systems, including EHR, medical imaging, and hospital information systems (HIS).

Excellent customer focus, with the ability to understand and respond to the unique needs of healthcare professionals.

Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues with a methodical and analytical approach.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple service requests, documentation, and follow-ups.
