Amazon is looking for a workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Coordinator to add to the team. Year-on-year, as we continue to grow, we need to work as smart as we can, to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated and empowered. To help us achieve this, we’re seeking a driven EHS Officer. With your Bias for Action, we’ll need you to step in and help drive health and safety across our fulfillment center in Riyadh.
In this crucial WHS position, you’ll report to the WHS Manager.
Responsibilities- Lead site risk assessment for current and new activities. Establish site WHS training matrix and lead implementation of site specific WHS standards and guidelines.
- Lead implementation of site WHS objective and programs.
- Promote safe culture among employees by providing daily WHS content to shift briefing.
- Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Work with Operations team to implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury.
- Attend incidents and occupational injuries cases on site.
- Guide and assist area managers on incident investigations, Gensuite write up and communication of lessons learned.
- Assist Ops team in Gensuite follow up sheet and CAPA creation. Audit record-keeping practices and ensure Gensuite entries align with global WHS standards and local regulations.
- Ensure the PPE inventory at site and coordinate with procurement for order placement.
- Key Safety Requirement (KSR) Audit weekly assignment, monitoring and support.
- Ensure basic Fire Fighting training and first aid training completion.
- Daily Powered Industrial Tool and Trailer Dock Release inspection and communications.
- Daily Action Tracking System monitoring and support.
- Participate in site management safety walk, provide insight into unsafe acts and conditions to management.
- Provide daily update to Country WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, KSR, ATS, network actions, etc.
- Preparation of WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write up, ATS creation.
- Daily Permit to Work review and sign off.
- Lead on WHS related procurement and follow up.
- Preparing emergency response plans.
- Managing and conducting emergency drills.
- Managing preparation and training of emergency drills, prepare records.
- Heat Index establishment, monitoring and support.
- Provide support to site specific requests, unplanned events and activities.
- Conduct daily and weekly WHS audits, such as hazard waste room inspection, spill kit inspection, first aid room, etc.
Must have: Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or Engineering/Science bachelor degree; +2 years of experience in OSH field. Good communicator – English.

- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
- Experience leading and managing a team

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Health, Safety & Sustainability Manager to join the opening team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences AMAALA at Triple Bay. Reporting to the Director of Operation, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, hygiene, and sustainability policies across the resort, ensuring compliance with local laws and Four Seasons global standards. You will champion a culture of safety, well-being, and environmental responsibility for guests, employees, and residents.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain resort-wide health, safety, hygiene, and sustainability policies in line with regulatory requirements, environmental best practices, and company standards.
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards or sustainability improvement opportunities, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Lead all fire life safety (FLS) initiatives, including evacuation drills and equipment maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate training programs for all departments, covering HACCP, first aid, chemical handling, emergency procedures, and sustainability practices.
- Liaise with government authorities to ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental laws, and manage external inspections and certifications.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, documenting findings and driving follow-up actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Security, and Food & Beverage teams to implement safety, hygiene, and sustainability improvements.
- Oversee pre-opening certifications, sustainability initiatives, and operational readiness to meet both safety and environmental standards.

What You Bring
- A degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hygiene, safety, or sustainability, with at least 2 years in a leadership role, ideally in hospitality or large-scale operations.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi safety regulations, HACCP, sustainability best practices, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication, training, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in safety and sustainability management systems and reporting tools.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, LEED, or equivalent are preferred.
- Fluency in English is essential.

Overview
The Site WHS Officer will be responsible for partnering with a site operations team in a delivery station to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance to all applicable local and regional regulations. By leveraging lean principles and kaizens, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes to ensure a safe and healthful working environment for our Associates. A successful Site WHS Officer will demonstrate the ability to build trust and confidence with the Operations Team and inspire change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis.
The Site WHS Officer must be an effective communicator and send clear, concise and consistent messages, both verbally and in writing. You will instruct and train Operations Leaders in Amazon WHS policies and assist the operations site teams in incorporating our safety standards at their site. You will work to identify best practices and incorporate these standard methodologies into our standards to continuously improve the safety landscape.
The Site WHS officer will possess excellent safety program knowledge as well as environmental and ergonomic knowledge and be able demonstrate this expertise when working with Operations.

- Spend time at the delivery station and seek input from Safety teams, Associates and leaders on safety program improvement opportunities. Ensure open communication on status of progress and resolution against these suggestions.
- Ensure site leadership and Associates are trained and knowledgeable of their responsibilities under each policy. Audit the quality, delivery (including qualifications of the trainer), and effectiveness of all required safety training.
- Ensure the PPE’s inventory at site and coordinate with procurement will place order accordingly.
- Ensure site PPE compliance.
- You have to implement the best practices at site.
- Implement PIT (powered industrial truck) safety and yard safety system.
- Ensure standard Work Permit System usage at site.
- Implement and ensure safe contractor management at site.
- Ensure basic safety training calendar for associates and imparting trainings as per the same.
- Work along with facility team and ensure preventive maintenance of all Fire protection and emergency equipment’s
