The Role
Specialist - Transportation - Saudi Arabia Package - Competitive Salary + Benefits Menasa and Partners have an urgent requirement for a highly experienced Specialist - Transportation to join our client on a mega development project in Saudi Arabia. The person hired for this role will be in charge of carrying out the daily operations for airfreight, ocean freight, road freight, and customs while making sure that the transport execution process is affordable, attainable, and successful.

Requirements
Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or in related field . - 8-10 years' post-graduate experience with at least 5 years of experience in similar role. - Experience in freight forwarding for major multinational companies, preferably in local clearing and forwarding, and trucking. - Experience and understanding on airfreight, ocean freight, road freight, road, and customs requirements & documentation. - Professional accreditation and membership of industry-leading and internationally recognised institute(s) is a plus.

NOC (Network Operations Center) is the central command and control center for ‘Transportation Execution’ across the Amazon Supply Chain network supporting multiple geographies like NA, India and EU. This second aspect involves network monitoring and significant analysis of network data. AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced and proactive Vertical Transportation Engineering Specialist.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Design Consultant's work on vertical transportation systems, including lifts, escalators, and travelators, within the city.
  • Provide technical guidance to Design Consultants through regular review meetings and formal requests for information.
  • Act as the single point of contact for technical issues between the Design Consultant and NEOM's wider functions, sectors, and departments.
  • Lead design reviews of technical design deliverables, ensuring alignment with THE LINE Codes, Standards, Guidelines, and Requirements.
  • Ensure consistency in design solutions across THE LINE.
  • Identify key risks and document them in the Risk Register, following through with mitigation strategies.
  • Escalate high-risk design issues to the relevant Subject Matter Expert (SME).
  • Drive innovation and best practices in design delivery by appointed consultants.
  • Integrate considerations for innovation, sustainability, and operations and maintenance into the design process.

Requirements
  • Degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field of study, or equivalent.
  • Chartered Membership of a recognized professional institution/organization or Professional Engineer status is preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of professional experience, with a significant portion in the required expertise discipline.
    • Exposure to the Middle East is advantageous.

Job Description

JASARA PMC is seeking a dedicated Vertical Transportation Inspection Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the inspection and evaluation of vertical transportation systems, such as elevators, escalators, and moving walkways, used in our construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that these systems comply with safety standards and operational efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our infrastructure developments.

As a Vertical Transportation Inspection Specialist, you will perform detailed inspections, prepare reports, and collaborate with project teams and contractors to address any deficiencies. Your attention to detail and understanding of vertical transportation mechanics will be essential in maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections of vertical transportation systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable codes.
  • Evaluate the performance and operational efficiency of elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation components.
  • Document inspection findings and prepare detailed reports on compliance, issues, and recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with project teams and contractors to address inspection findings and implement necessary improvements.
  • Provide expertise and technical guidance on vertical transportation best practices and safety regulations.
  • Monitor system installations and ensure adherence to specifications and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and regulations relating to vertical transportation.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior inspection staff as needed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in vertical transportation system inspection or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of vertical transportation systems, safety standards, and relevant codes (such as ASME A17.1, EN 81, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting inspections and evaluations of elevators and escalators.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying non-compliance and safety issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with project teams and document findings effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
