**Summary of the job**:
- The main task of a **Government Affairs & Policy Senior Manager Saudi Arabia **in Medical Devices, Janssen and Consumer Health is:
- To optimize Johnson and Johnson business by cultivating a sustainable partnership approach with key external stakeholders, including Government Ministers, Authorities, Civil Servants, Political Advisers and Officials, Think Tanks and Academia.
- To manage government affairs activity and provide counsel across Saudi Arabia business.
- Provide strategic and dedicated support to the cross-sector business to drive impactful programs through expertise, partnership, and advocacy.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Design, lead and manage the implementation of allocated Government Affairs plans/projects - which are to be integrated with the WWGA&P and the cross-sector business strategy.
- Engage with the local/ regional Institutions and trade associations including the MECOMED, RPCC, MENAP-SMI and other industry-based trade associations, coalitions, and multi-stakeholder platforms.
- Strengthen the impact of trade associations towards common goals
- Interpret key developments in government, health, economic, science and innovation policy, identify the opportunities and threats to the business and develop appropriate plans to compliantly engage in health policy development in line with Johnson & Johnson's strategic and commercial objectives.
- Lead/ co-lead local programs through cross-functional collaborations, mapping of key stakeholders, external advocacy plans against pre-defined policy shaping objectives.
- Provide expert counsel and identify specific actions related to government policy for identified issues to Johnson & Johnson senior management.
- Develop briefing tools that highlight policy issues to ensure consistent approved messaging when engaging with any external stakeholders.
- Develop effective networks and relationships with key external stakeholders including, but not restricted to Ministers, Civil Servants, Parliamentarians, Political Advisers and Officials, Think Tanks and Academia.
- Drive key government partnership initiatives in line with common strategic enablers
- Strengthen our Medical Devices and Janssen footprint and advance our legal presence in KSA both on a local and regional level
**Additional responsibilities**:
- Drive Strong cross functional collaboration with functions including Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory to develop integrated Government Affairs & Policy plans for the business in Saudi Arabia.
- Work across functions and hierarchies within Johnson & Johnson to develop and convey corporate policy issues pertinent to Johnson & Johnson in Saudi Arabia and articulate Johnson & Johnson’s response to those issues.
- Raise the profile of Johnson & Johnson to positively create an understanding of the company's impact on the healthcare and economic environment in Saudi Arabia.
- To Support the Senior Director of Government Affairs & Policy on activities relating to global VIP visits and high
- level Summit meetings

**Qualifications**
**Experience Required**:
