The GTC&R Specialist provides a wide range of business advisory services as they relate to tax compliance and income tax accounting. The GTC&R Specialist serves as the single point of contact for tax compliance and income tax accounting matters throughout the global organization. Entity chief financial officers, controllers and other personnel throughout the enterprise report to the GTC&R Group on tax accounting and compliance matters relating to their respective operations
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
- Use your major global energy company experience and proven demonstrated ability to drive global consistency.
- Possess deep financial management skills and overall business acumen.
- You possess a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, preferably under IFRS although equivalent experience with other generally accepted accounting principles will be considered.
- You have an analytical mind set, process orientation, organized and structured approach to problem solving and ability to work under pressure.
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and interest in building an effective internal network.
- You have an excellent command of oral and written English and Arabic.
- In addition, you will be expected to:
- Performs functions common to a GTC&R Specialist role.
- Implement Tax Policy and protocols for the administration of all tax compliance and tax accounting matters globally and for ad hoc projects.
- Represent the Controller’s Division and the Senior Vice President of Finance, Strategy and Development in tax related matters.
- Oversee income tax compliance globally, including exercising key quality controls, and is the global process owner for income tax accounting and tax compliance, which includes direct and indirect taxes.
- You will define, document, and implement operating procedures globally and maintain effective controls over tax accounting and tax compliance.
- Support Management in making decisions on complex and technical tax matters including accounting judgments with respect to uncertain tax positions and realization of deferred tax assets, while ensuring auditable documentation is maintained.
- Identify tax issues with respect to tax compliance and income tax accounting, provide advice and identify solutions which are communicated to relevant stakeholders for execution.
- Liaise throughout the financial, accounting and reporting teams and builds collaborative relationships with joint venture and subsidiary Controller/Finance organizations.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with subsidiary and joint venture finance and tax staff as well as service providers and interact regularly with the Tax Counsel.
- Ensure the accuracy of the tax figures and estimates included within planning, financial reporting, mergers & acquisitions analysis and financial models for transactions and business investments.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a degree in a relevant field from a recognized and approved program. Teams meet two to four times yearly in person, in interesting locations around the world, to align on strategy and execution.

We're looking for an exceptional payroll administrator with experience of working with outsourced payroll bureaus to manage the company's end to end global payroll and contractor payments. You are reliable, diligent and pay attention to details and always work towards improving current processes.
Location: This role may choose to be office based out of London or home based, and will report to our Global Financial Controller.
This role entails
- Ensure all payrolls are always delivered on time and with 100% accuracy
- Process the payroll/contractor data in an organised and structured manner
- Manage all payroll deadlines and monthly payroll tasks
- Prepare payroll reports and provide monthly payroll data in journal format to finance for processing
- Comply with GDPR regulations and maintain payroll security/confidentiality
- Deal with payroll queries and resolve or escalate as required
- Constantly seek out ways to improve systems and processes to ensure a seamless flow between HR, Payroll and Finance
- Keep payroll policies up to date and write any new procedures as required
- Provide support to any project related activities from Finance and HR
- Provide support to Finance with reporting and audit queries
- Assist with future expansions of global payrolls and other projects
- Manage all payroll correspondence and act as a point of contact for all escalated payroll queries
- Maintain strong cross-functional team relationships
- Build strong relationships with vendors to ensure excellent service delivery and compliance in all countries
- Experience in a similar payroll role or working with outsourced payroll bureaus
- Excellent communication skills to converse with external parties and internal team members of all levels
- Strong process and planning mindset
- Ability to think outside the box and solve problems when faced with new challenges
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Exceptional planning/organisational skills and being deadline oriented
- Ability to work with different software systems, and have excellent knowledge of spreadsheets and formulas
- Being a team player as well as being able to work independently
We consider geographical location, experience, and performance in shaping compensation worldwide. We revisit compensation annually (and more often for graduates and associates) to ensure we recognize outstanding performance. In addition to base pay, we offer a performance-driven annual bonus or commission. We provide all team members with additional benefits which reflect our values and ideals. We balance our programs to meet local needs and ensure fairness globally.
