The RoleWe currently have an opening for a Gas Applications Engineer. This customer-facing role requires self-motivated individuals with strong consultative and communication skills to implement AspenTech's OSI solutions. The position focuses on designing, installing, and configuring advanced oil & gas applications for SCADA control systems across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. You will oversee the technical aspects of Professional Services for AspenTech's oil & gas utility products, coordinating with other engineering staff and customers. On-the-job training will be provided.
Your Impact- Develop and execute system build plans considering software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their operational needs, provide system training, and configure solutions accordingly.
- Manage the technical Professional Services aspects, including implementing the overall system design of AspenTech's products for real-time critical infrastructure control systems.
- Perform system and acceptance testing with end customers.
- Coordinate with product development and management teams to enhance AspenTech's products.
- Travel to customer sites to deliver, test, and integrate systems.
- Represent AspenTech professionally with a positive attitude.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field.

- Excellent time and project management skills.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally (<25%).

- Experience in operations or engineering within a gas utility or oil & gas energy provider.
- Experience with real-time control systems, including SCADA solutions.
- At least 1 year of engineering or oil & gas industry operations experience.
- Knowledge of computer architectures, databases, operating systems, and IT systems, including data center designs.
- Understanding of oil & gas measurement principles and hydraulics.

The salary range for this role is $61,100 - $76,400, reflecting our current estimate of base compensation. Actual pay may vary based on factors, and the range may be adjusted in the future.
