Job Description

  • Ensure the audio-visual equipment is well maintained and in good condition.
  • Ensure that Maintenance Gymnasium equipment forms are up to date and implement preventative maintenance programs if necessary.
  • Be fully aware of current and future services offered by the hotel and make suggestions for improvement, expansion, or creation of new services.
  • Stay up to date with local and international trends in health and leisure services through internet, magazines, and other media.
  • Manage the fitness centre retail area, including stock control, inventory, and sales.
  • Manage the fitness centre and sports facilities, including outdoor and indoor leisure programs.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness in the department.
  • Develop and implement personalized exercise programs for guests requesting private sessions or benefiting from personal instruction.
  • Provide one-to-one Personal Training when required.
  • Provide Fitness Consultations for arriving guests.
  • Assist guests with retail purchases as needed.
  • Cover Gymnasium Reception and retail areas when required.
  • Handle guest complaints and refer to Supervisor or Manager when necessary.
  • Provide regular follow-up contact for guests and monitor the progress of fitness programs throughout their stay.
  • Follow proper policies and procedures regarding monitoring the health and wellbeing of guests participating in classes and using gym/sports facilities, including administering medical questionnaires.

Qualifications

Internationally recognized personal training certification. A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Operational Excellence & Compliance

  • Ensure fitness equipment and training spaces are well-maintained, organized, and clean to provide a high-quality guest experience.

  • Adhere to Saudi Arabia’s wellness/fitness regulations and hospitality standards, ensuring cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in all programs.

**Team Collaboration & Leadership:**
+ Work in harmony with yoga, fitness, spa, and wellness teams to offer **integrated guest experiences** .
+ Mentor junior team members or staff interested in aquatic instruction and wellness practices.
+ Participate in team meetings, event planning, and resort-wide initiatives to elevate the overall guest experience.
**Professional Development & Brand Support:**
+ Engage in Miraval's **ongoing training and professional development programs** to grow in technique, mindfulness, and guest facilitation.
+ Support marketing efforts by contributing content or ideas for guest education, social media, or wellness campaigns.
+ Represent Miraval The Red Sea at events or through special programming with professionalism and warmth.
**Qualifications:**
**Qualifications & Experience:**
+ Certified Swimming Instructor with credentials from a recognized establishments (e.g., ASA, Red Cross, STA, ASCA, or equivalent).
+ Current **CPR, First Aid, and/or Lifeguard certification** required.
+ Minimum **2 years of experience** in coaching or aquatic instruction at a resort, retreat, health club, or wellness setting.
+ Experience leading private and group swim sessions across age groups and skill levels.
+ Knowledge of **aquatic fitness, water therapy** , or breathwork practices in water is a strong plus.
+ Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are a bonus.
+ Additional certifications in **fitness, yoga, mindfulness, or hydrotherapy** are an advantage.
