Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Riyadh for a Faculty Staff member. The Faculty Staff will be responsible for preparing and delivering lectures, developing academic plans, supervising students during practical training, conducting research, engaging in academic collaborations, and participating in community health care programs. The Faculty Staff will also be involved in assessing student performance, guiding them through their academic journey, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge in health care specialties and the ability to prepare and deliver effective lectures
- Experience in developing academic plans and supervising students during practical training
- Strong research skills and the ability to engage in academic collaborations
- Proficiency in assessing student performance and guiding their academic progress
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in using modern educational techniques, such as e-learning
- Master degree or equivalent degree in a related health care specialty.
- Ph.D. is preferrable.

General Responsibilities
–Serve as the primary liaison between the university administration and faculty members, ensuring transparent communication and alignment with institutional goals.

Strategic Responsibilities
–Work with leadership to design faculty policies and frameworks in alignment with accreditation standards and the Saudi higher education regulatory environment.
–Support initiatives to attract top-tier faculty, including international recruitment, retention incentives, and recognition programs.
–Align faculty relations strategies with the university's vision to become a leading hub for arts education and cultural innovation
Operational Responsibilities
–Manage faculty contracts, renewals, and employment documentation in collaboration with HR and academic leadership.
–Provide support in organizing faculty workshops, professional development training, and networking opportunities.
–Track faculty participation in research, creative projects, and community engagement activities, ensuring proper recognition and reporting.
–Address faculty concerns and provide timely resolution or escalation to appropriate bodies.
–Maintain a database of faculty qualifications, teaching loads, research outputs, and professional achievements for institutional reporting and accreditation purposes.
–Coordinate with HR and administration to ensure faculty benefits, entitlements, and welfare programs are implemented effectively.
–Organize regular communication channels (e.g., newsletters, forums, meetings) to keep faculty updated on institutional developments.
–Support disciplinary procedures where necessary, ensuring fairness, compliance, and confidentiality
Industry Experience
– Minimum 5–7 years of experience in higher education administration, with at least 3 years in faculty relations, academic affairs, or HR roles.
–Strong understanding of higher education regulations in Saudi Arabia, particularly with the Education & Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC) and Ministry of Education requirements.
–Experience supporting diverse international faculty.
–Familiarity with Saudi labor and higher education regulations.
–Exposure to arts or cultural institutions is preferrable.
Management capabilities
–Ability to design and implement faculty policies, guidelines, and engagement strategies.
–Skilled in conflict resolution, mediation, and building consensus among diverse stakeholders.
–Strong organizational and project management skills to manage faculty records, processes, and initiatives.
–Capability to manage sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
–Ability to balance institutional priorities with faculty needs, fostering a collaborative and supportive culture.

- Official duties and responsibilities of a Tenure Track faculty members include teaching and service activities as assigned.
- Non-Tenure track, full-time teaching position on a 9 month contract
- Faculty are expected to teach undergraduate courses
- Face to face and or hybrid teaching interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus for a minimum of four days a week.
- Teach up to 30 credit hours per contract year
- Assist in collecting assessment data as outlined by the ABET and SACSCOC Program Coordinator
- Achieve appropriate student-learning outcomes in all courses taught
- Faculty are expected to employ sound pedagogical practices and use appropriate technology
- Student course evaluations are to be completed each course
- Abide by deadlines and processes for submitting grades
- Advise students and provide individual help to students during weekly office hours
- Participate in course/laboratory revisions and curriculum development as assigned
- Work with other faculty and staff to advance the program
- Attending department, college and university faculty meetings
- Attend convocations, commencement exercises, recruitment activities and community meetings.
