What you will do

As our Head of Event Marketing (mat cover), you will report to the Marketing Director and manage a diverse team based in Riyadh. We seek a motivated, dynamic marketing leader with a proven track record of commercial collaboration to develop products and positioning aligned with customer demand.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Recommend team structures and delivery solutions based on requirements
  • Line manage senior marketers and specialists across various events
  • Work with the Group Director to ensure appropriate structure, specialisms, and resources to meet KPIs
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and inspiration to team members
  • Champion the adoption and optimization of marketing technology solutions and digital marketing
  • Ensure successful delivery of marketing campaigns in line with KPIs and strategic goals
  • Develop skills and competencies within the team, ensuring clear development pathways
  • Ensure managers are competent and trained to lead junior team members
  • Promote a high-performance culture within the marketing team

Analysis & Insight

  • Monitor campaign performance and produce relevant reports; recommend adjustments based on data insights
  • Share insights with sales, event teams, and senior management to drive revenue and opportunities
  • Analyze trends and use insights to optimize campaigns
  • Ensure relevant data is captured and managed according to policies
  • Deliver accurate reports during and after campaigns to monitor effectiveness and ROI
  • Utilize analytics dashboards to track performance
  • Foster a testing and metrics-driven decision-making culture
  • Share case studies and best practices within the team and division

Planning & Campaign Management

  • Coordinate with marketing managers to plan campaigns for exhibitions and virtual/hybrid events
  • Monitor implementation plans and ensure adherence to deadlines
  • Engage with media, industry partners, and influencers within campaigns
  • Assist in developing marketing budgets and track expenses
  • Manage external suppliers and ensure contractual compliance
  • Work with internal and external teams to deliver digital marketing, social media, and PR efforts
  • Optimize marketing spend across channels
  • Guide media buying negotiations and website strategy for traffic and conversions

Marketing Execution

  • Identify target audiences and key segments
  • Develop personas, value propositions, and messaging strategies
  • Ensure timely, relevant communications across channels
  • Adjust digital activities based on performance metrics
  • Contribute to content calendar and PR planning
  • Build relationships with partners for maximum exposure
  • Maintain active social media channels and oversee marketing collateral production

Role Overview

We’re looking for a dynamic and creative Events Specialist to be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a wide range of events to support Calo’s business objectives in Saudi.

Main Responsibilities

Event Planning and Coordination

  • Plan and organize a variety of offline events, including but not limited to product launches, sports events, entertainment events, health fairs, workshops, and community events
  • Develop detailed event plans, including budgets, timelines, and logistics with the ability to execute these plans effectively and ensure smooth event execution

Stakeholders Management

  • Identify, negotiate with, and manage relationships with vendors, venues, and other event partners
  • Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including operations, supply chain, finance, design team, and marketing

Marketing and Promotion

  • Plan and create events booths with external agencies to deliver suitable promotional booth at events under Calo’s guidelines
  • Create marketing materials for events, including flyers, posters, activations and needed merch

Logistics Management

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of events, including venue setup, audio-visual equipment, catering, and access pass
  • Ensure all necessary permits and insurance are obtained for events

Food Safety and Quality

  • Ensure meals and snacks are delivered and placed in the events according to food safety and quality procedures

Audience Engagement

  • Develop and execute activities that engage and educate attendees about our healthy meal plans

Post-Event Evaluation

  • Collect and analyze attendees and Calo Team feedback to improve future events
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the success of events and identify areas of improvement
  • Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes, including attendance, engagement, and overall effectiveness

Ideal Candidate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of proven experience in event planning, coordination, and execution
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and writing skills in both English and Arabic

Knowledge, Competency, and Personality

  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work well under pressure. You remain calm and collected under pressure despite tight deadlines and conflicting priorities
