Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop and execute events including conferences, launches, meetings and fundraising galas
- Develop event objectives, budgets, timelines and project plans
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts including venues, catering, audio visual and other suppliers
- Hire, schedule and supervise event staff including contractors and temporary workers
- Oversee event logistics such as registration, accommodation, transportation and signage
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including speakers, sponsors and attendees
- Maintain record systems to allow for the efficient management of events and budgets
- Guide, mentor and review the work of junior event planners
- Assess events to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations
- Represent the organization at industry events and networking functions
- Stay up to date with event industry trends, best practices and technological solutions
- Post-secondary diploma in Event Management or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience planning and executing successful events
- Expert proficiency in event management software
- Proven track record of managing events on time and within budget

We’re looking for an experienced Event & Engagement Coordinator to join our team and lead the planning and execution of strategic events that engage key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals (HCPs), patient groups (PAGs), and healthcare organizations (HCOs). In this role, you will coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, compliant, and impactful engagements across various formats — from congresses to advisory boards and speaker programs.
The Opportunity
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of in-person, virtual, and hybrid events across therapeutic areas
- Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders (Engagement Owners) to define needs and deliver high-impact events
- Manage internal system inputs and workflows ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Liaise with finance, legal, and procurement for contracts, payments, and vendor coordination
- Track budgets, process payments, and ensure financial transparency and reporting
- Oversee compliance processes, ensuring alignment with Roche SOPs, industry codes, and local regulations
- Support vendor selection and performance management to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and delivery excellence
