We're hiring a detail-driven Quantity Surveyor with a strong architectural background in interior fit-out and woodwork. You'll own the commercial lifecycle end-to-end—covering both
pre- and post-tender
activities—leveraging expert skills in

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Tender (Estimating & Bidding)


• Study IFC/ID drawings, specs, and scope; extract precise quantities from AutoCAD/Revit and develop priced BOQs for woodwork/fit-out (kitchens, wardrobes, doors, wall cladding, ceilings, vanities).


• Float RFQs, analyze and normalize quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend awards.

Post-Tender (Award to Close-Out)


• Commercial kick-off; freeze BOQs/scope; draft/administer subcontracts and POs aligned to deliverables.


• Track commitments vs. budgets; perform progress measurement and re-measurement from shop/as-built drawings/models; maintain contemporaneous records.



MIR/WIR Control:
Coordinate with QA/QC to raise, track, and close
Material Inspection Requests (MIRs)
and

; align approved IRs with measured progress and cost reporting.



IPC / Payment Certificates:
Prepare monthly
Interim Payment Certificates (client)

Subcontractor Payment Certificates

• Support claims (time/cost) and EOT substantiation in coordination with planning/contracts.

Minimum Requirements:


Education:

Bachelor's in
Architecture
(preferred), Quantity Surveying, Interior Architecture/Design, or Civil/Construction Engineering.


Experience:



5+ years
as a QS in interior fit-out/joinery (GCC experience preferred), covering both pre- and post-tender phases on mid-to-large projects.


• Solid know-how of wood species/veneers, hardware & fittings, finishes, machining, and installation methodologies.

Job Description
Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented
Quantity Surveyor
to join our team In this role, you will join a professional engineering, construction, and cost management team that is involved in multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD). KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh's new Central Business District that combines a real estate development of approximately 850,000 sqm of office space, 115,000 GLA of retail, 1,200 residential units, 5-star Hotels, and 600 hospitality keys. KAFD is set to be the main enabler of the KSA 2030 vision.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of the project.
  • Participate, record and usually prepare the minutes of the progress meetings.
  • Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.
  • Finalize the Contractor's monthly payment certificates with the assistance of the QS's.
  • Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order by the QS's.
  • Advise the SRE and RE's on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
  • Evaluate the unit rates for new work items with assistance by the QS's.
  • Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process;
  • Lead in the preparation of variation orders.
  • Lead in the evaluation of claims.
  • Advice on contractual matters related to financial issues.
  • Ensure completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.
  • Advise on contractor's resource allocation.
  • Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
  • Audit payments to Contractors.
  • Ensure prompt submitter and completeness of valuations.
  • Check and record measurements of completed work.
  • Monitor contracts final cost estimates.
  • Maintain expenditure records.
  • Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
  • Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation

What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • A bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or related field, and typically 10+ years of prime contract administration experience within a large international engineering and construction firm is required. RICS membership will be advantageous.
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contracts.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
