JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel in aircraft, equipment, and weapons operation in a training environment.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia supports the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation, and promotes Saudi National capability development through the growth of Saudi National Partner Companies, reinforcing industrialisation and partnerships.

The Airframe Repair Technician plays a key role in generating aircraft for the RSAF customer within a challenging environment. The role involves interfacing with departments such as SMSCMC, Workshops, Quality, Product Safety, MODSAP, and balancing on-aircraft and component maintenance activities.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Maintain good engineering practices and compliance with RSAF Technical Orders in all airframe repair activities, on aircraft and components.
• Perform component maintenance: inspect, survey, evaluate, install, repair, troubleshoot, service, overhaul, modify, and test off-aircraft systems components, gaining certification levels through on-the-job training (OJT).
• On-aircraft, install, repair, service, modify, and test aircraft systems.
• Ensure work adheres to standards and procedures outlined in the MOE.
• Conduct tool control in accordance with procedures.
• Manage spare parts requirements using the Gold ESP logistics system.
• Provide technical guidance to SNTTP programs regarding engineering issues.
• Carry out TCTOs and special inspections as directed.
• Develop assigned SNTTP trainees.

RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

• Post-qualification relevant experience supported by formal workplace training or successful completion of BAESSA apprenticeship (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
• Relevant type training (Q Course) and specific training if required.
• Understanding of RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, tactful, discreet, and confident interaction at all levels.
• Ability to work harmoniously within a mixed EE/SN workforce.
• Knowledge of BAESSA engineering operating procedures.
• HF trained.
• Current driving license.
