We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/Rotating Equipment Engineer to join the Unconventional Resources (UR) Producing Department.

The UR Producing Department Operations is responsible for operating all the surface facilities which include the field wells and processing facilities where their role will be to operate the well manifolds, provide field services, maintain the facility and reduce equipment downtime, perform Preventive Maintenance activities, and provide all the technical engineering and inspection activities.

Your primary role is to lead the mechanical design review, follow the construction, and lead the commissioning and testing activities for the new shale gas facilities.

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

1. Provide day-to-day technical support to the Operation and Maintenance to troubleshoot and fix Rotating Equipment and mechanical systems.
2. Develop the engineering designs packages for the new installation and upgrade projects.
3. Review Project Proposals and Detailed Designs packages for new facilities.
4. Participate in the testing & commissioning of the new facilities and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I).
5. Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
6. Analyze system performance and find solutions for energy saving.
7. Ensure quality, cost-effective and timely solutions to any upgrade.
8. Test and pilot new technologies.
9. Ensure full Health, Safety, and Environment Compliance.
10. Report and analyze key performance indices.
11. Make recommendations for technical/economic optimization of existing facilities.
12. Lead feasibility/profitability studies for new facilities.
13. Contribute to Business Unit strategy.
14. Assist in the training, development, and mentoring of younger staff.
15. Provide analysis, evaluation, and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to Saudi Aramco capital investment decisions.

• As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university; MS is preferred.
• A Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.) license or registration will be desirable but is not essential.
• At least 15 years of work experience including 10 years of experience in the industrial operation facility; Shale gas facility experience is preferred. Also, has a good knowledge of the Modular skids mounted unit.
• Must have a working knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as ASME and API, such as API-STD-610 and 617.
• You will have experience with creating/modifying PFDs and P&IDs.
• You must have experience with troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment, such as air compressors, pumps, and Diesel generators.
• You will have experience in creating schematics and piping diagrams.
• You will conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed rotating equipment.
• You will have experience with rotating equipment and piping field installation, commissioning, and testing.

A Senior/Lead Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in design and specification of Rotating Equipment such as Pumps, Compressors, Seals, Specialty and Utility Equipment in the Oil & Gas, hydrocarbon, petroleum refinery, offshore, and/or infrastructure industries. Bechtel is looking for a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer who has extensive experience with executing greenfield and brownfield projects with a proven track record seeking technical/leadership challenges in Mechanical Rotating Equipment engineering.

Maintain good knowledge of Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), Bechtel design guides, appropriate Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAPs) and administrative practices. Plans, develops, coordinates, and reviews detailed engineering work outlined herein according to a set of engineering design criterion utilizing approved engineering procedures and practices. Performs work that involves conventional engineering practice but may include complex features such as resolving conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and/or difficult coordination requirements. Provide training for groups within and external to Mechanical Engineering, as required. Mentor junior mechanical engineers. • Coordinates Engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, and contractors and between other groups.

• In depth knowledge of rotating/packaged equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines, water treatment equipment) and electric motors.
• Strong background with API 610 Centrifugal pumps and API 617 Centrifugal Compressors and gas seal systems. Experience with Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and reciprocating compressors is beneficial.
• Applicant should be able to identify specific equipment services they have been responsible for, such as Air Compressors, Steam/Gas Turbines, API Pumps, Cryogenic Pumps, Packaged Equipment (raw water treatment, waste water treatment, sludge handling, chemical injection, N2 generation), etc.
• Applicant should also be able to identify specific industry and technology experience such as Refining/Coker, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, Renewable energy, etc. Strong working knowledge of industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, BS etc. as related to the equipment responsible for.
• Knowledge of field installation / commissioning activities (in addition to design / selection) for rotating/packaged equipment is preferred.
• Experience participating in model reviews and equipment walkdown at vendor’s shop. Coordinate with other disciplines, vendor and client to resolve comments resulting from model reviews and equipment walkdowns.
• Broad knowledge of the application of Engineering to plant constructability as applied to construction methods and materials.
