Construction Phase Oversight • Monitor noise, dust, vibration, and emissions to ensure they’re within permissible limits. • Manage waste segregation, recycling, and disposal in line with environmental targets. • Oversee soil erosion control and stormwater management to prevent site contamination. • Ensure subcontractors follow environmental protocols. Sustainability Integration • Support achievement of LEED Platinum or other sustainability certifications targeted by KSIA. • Promote renewable energy, water conservation, and energy efficiency in design and operations. • Encourage use of sustainable materials and low-carbon construction methods. Training & Awareness • Deliver environmental training to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders. • Embed environmental awareness in daily construction and operational activities. Reporting & Documentation • Maintain detailed logs of environmental inspections, audits, and incidents. • Provide monthly environmental performance reports to project leadership and stakeholders. • Document evidence for compliance audits and certification processes
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related field; Master’s degree preferred. • Proven experience managing environmental compliance for large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects. • Strong knowledge of Saudi environmental laws, General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) regulations, and international standards (e.g., IFC, LEED, ISO 14001). • Hands-on expertise in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), permitting, and regulatory liaison. • Experience developing and implementing Environmental Management Plans (EMP) for both construction and operational phases.
