- Ensure that the suppliers/contractors are complying with the EHS & food safety standards through audits and communications.
- Manage and control all documents (manuals, policies, procedures, logs, etc.) related to EHSMS & food safety and the corresponding reports.
- Collaborate with various departments to implement corporate social responsibility activities aimed at contributing positively to the community and environment.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of Rotana Earth programs within the hotel.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests’ and employees’ health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
- Comply with the hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
Occupational Health and Safety responsibilities will include:
- Develop OHSMS manuals, policies, and procedures and review periodically or less if required.

You will ensure that workforce operating at the client’s mine site complies with Metso’s internal safety procedures and the client’s HSE regulations. The Safety Officer will drive proactive safety practices, demonstrate compliance with client expectations, and foster a culture of continuous safety improvement. Performance will be measured using key safety metrics including CCV, LSR compliance, VFL engagement, and behavioral observations.
This position will be located at remote site in Saudi Arabia and you will be working in rotation basis.

What You’ll Do
- Enforce Metso’s HSE policies and ensure full adherence to the client’s HSE standards, including Life-Saving Rules (LSRs).

- Support VFL programs by participating in and facilitating leadership engagements and safety interactions.

- Minimum 3 years in a safety role within mining, construction, or heavy industry.

Required Experiences: 5yrs +
Qualifications: Proven experience as safety officer or related field.

We are seeking a responsible Safety Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. Your primary role will be advising on measures to minimize hazards and maintain a safe working environment. Vigilance in identifying violations is crucial. Your objective is to establish a workplace that meets legal safety standards and cultivates a culture of prioritizing health and safety.
Responsibilities- Support the development of OHS policies and programs
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures
- Review existing policies and measures and update according to legislation
- Initiate and organize OHS training of employees and executives
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
- Oversee installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle workers compensation claims
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
- Proven experience as safety officer
- In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
- Diligent with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
- BSc/BA in safety management, engineering or relevant field is preferred
- Certificate in occupational health and safety
