We are seeking aSenior Manager – Environment and Sustainabilityto lead and oversee all aspects of environmental compliance and sustainability performance for a high-profile Facilities Operations Managing Agent Project in Riyadh. In this role, you will ensure alignment with national regulations, the client’s sustainability framework, and global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, while fostering measurable sustainability impact across park operations.
As the Senior Manager – Environmental & Sustainability, you will play a critical role in implementing and monitoring sustainability strategies, ensuring compliance with environmental policies, and driving innovation in resource efficiency. You will collaborate with vendors, contractors, tenants, and operators to meet sustainability goals and oversee the collation and analysis of performance data for annual ESG reporting. This role requires extensive experience in environmental management, sustainability reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
What You'll Be Doing:
Environmental Compliance Oversight:
Ensure operational compliance with Saudi national environmental regulations, including waste, water, energy, emissions, air quality, and noise.
Oversee vendor and service provider compliance with environmental obligations in contracts and SLAs.
Review and audit environmental impact mitigation measures identified in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Environmental and Social Management Plans (ESMPs).
Lead site inspections and performance reviews to ensure conformance with sustainability and environmental requirements.
Sustainability Program Management:
Implement and oversee the delivery of the client’s operational Sustainability Strategy, aligned with Vision 2030.
Work with operators, tenants, and vendors to enhance sustainability performance in areas such as energy, water, waste, biodiversity, and mobility.
Promote circular economy practices, sustainable procurement, and resource efficiency within park operations and among partners.
Data Management & ESG Reporting:
Design and manage a performance monitoring framework to track key environmental and sustainability KPIs in alignment with KSA requirements and the client’s Sustainability Framework.
Lead the collection, validation, and aggregation of sustainability data for annual ESG reports, ensuring alignment with global standards such as GRI, SASB, and TCFD.
Support the client’s submissions for sustainability certifications and ratings, such as LEED , Mostadam ,SITE and Green Flag.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the primary liaison with government regulators on environmental matters during operations.
Build partnerships with local and international environmental organizations, sustainability experts, and academic institutions.
Lead awareness and training programs for staff, vendors, and tenants to foster a culture of sustainability.
Strategic Advisory & Innovation:
Advise the client’s Executive Director and senior leadership on sustainability risks, trends, and emerging opportunities.
Identify and recommend innovative technologies and practices to improve sustainability performance (e.g., renewable energy, water reuse, smart waste systems).
Benchmark sustainability efforts against regional and global best practices.
