The Role of the Engineering Technician
As a Engineering Technician, you play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems within a building. Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems, including power distribution panels, lighting systems, switchgear, transformers, and emergency power equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of electrical control systems, motors, pumps, HVAC units, and kitchen equipment.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, power outages, or malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and guest services.
- Assist in the testing, calibration, and commissioning of new electrical equipment and installations.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a luxury hotel, resort, or large commercial facility.
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with a hands-on approach and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with a service-oriented attitude and commitment to quality.

We are looking for a motivated and customer-oriented
Technical Support Trainee
under the
Tamheer Program
to join our IT team. This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates who are passionate about technology and eager to gain hands-on experience in providing IT support, troubleshooting technical issues, and maintaining system performance in a professional work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level technical support to employees via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
- Assist in installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems and applications.
- Support user account management, password resets, and access permissions.
- Set up and configure new equipment (computers, printers, and other peripherals).
- Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and system updates.
- Adhere to IT security policies and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in
Information Technology
,
Computer Science
, or a related field. - Eligible for the
Tamheer Program
through
HRDF (Human Resources Development Fund)
. - Basic understanding of
Windows and Microsoft Office environments
. - Familiarity with
network fundamentals
(LAN, Wi-Fi, IP configuration). - Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the IT field.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus):
- Basic knowledge of
Active Directory
and
Microsoft 365
administration. - Experience using helpdesk or ticketing systems.
