We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented project professional to manage design process, lead and coordinate the design activities for a major transport infrastructure project, focusing on rail, mobility solutions, and station designs.
Candidates must have extensive experience working in the concept, design and procurement phases of the project lifecycle along with previous experience of working in an Engineering Consultancy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design solutions, and maintaining alignment with project objectives, technical requirements, and stakeholder expectations. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage complex design processes in a collaborative environment.

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the opening ofHyatt Place AlUla.

Hyatt Place AlUla represents a significant milestone in Hyatt’s expansion across the region and will feature 214 guestrooms, two food and beverage outlets, meeting space, swimming pool and a fitness center appealing to both leisure and business travelers.

Your Role

As the Engineering Manager , you’ll be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations and ensuring the property remains safe, efficient, and in top condition. You will lead a small, hands-on team dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through proactive facility management and prompt service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring all equipment, systems, and facilities operate safely and efficiently.
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, public spaces, mechanical systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety equipment.
  • Respond promptly to guest and operational maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with local codes, safety standards, and brand maintenance guidelines.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects.
  • Prepare and manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and capital planning.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and ensure energy conservation practices are implemented.
  • Partner with the General Manager and department heads to ensure seamless operations across the property.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a hotel engineering or facilities management role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and teams effectively.
  • Technical certifications or trade licenses preferred.
  • Availability to respond to emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.

About the role
We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager with deep technical expertise across DevOps, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering to lead our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will oversee the analysis, design, development, and operation of mission-critical AI-driven platforms serving public and private sector clients in Saudi Arabia. This position requires a strong hands-on technical proficiency.

What you'll do

  • Leading and mentoring a cross-functional engineering organization encompassing multidisciplinary engineers
  • Overseeing the end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of AI-enabled systems ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance with local regulations (e.g., PDPL)
  • Establishing and enforcing best practices in version control, CI/CD, testing, observability, and infrastructure automation
  • Driving the modernization of cloud and on-prem infrastructure, including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) practices
  • Architecting and governing robust data pipelines supporting real-time analytics, model training, and AI workflows using Spark, Kafka, Airflow, SQL, and NoSQL databases
  • Providing technical direction on software design patterns, microservices architectures, and system integrations using Python, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
  • Ensuring reliability and uptime targets through proactive SRE practices such as monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK), incident management, and performance optimization
  • Leading capacity planning, cost optimization, and environment management across multi-cloud (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure) and on-premise ecosystems
  • Guiding recruitment, technical assessments, and professional development across engineering teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical field
  • 6+ years of experience in senior technical roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience across:
  • Data Engineering: Expertise in ETL design, data modeling, and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow, Spark, Kafka, and modern data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Site Reliability Engineering: Proficiency in Linux systems, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and cloud automation tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, security best practices, and observability
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrated success in scaling teams, defining KPIs, and ensuring delivery excellence
  • Familiarity with AI/ML solution deployment, MLOps pipelines, and hybrid infrastructure environments is highly desirable
